Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Dozer and Ruby came to Last Day Dog Rescue together through no fault of their own. They seem bonded, so we are going to try to keep them together. Dozer is a big teddy bear with typical Bullmastive traits. Outside of Ruby, he would be best as an only dog. More to come a his foster gets to know him... Any questions email Tim at  tmb611@msn.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. May 22, 2025, 6:47 pm

Story
Meet Daisy, a gentle four-year-old Mastiff with a heart as big as her paws. Daisy is a sweet but shy girl who takes her time warming up to new people, but once you`ve earned her trust, she becomes a devoted and affectionate companion. She thrives on quiet affection and truly blossoms in calm, patient environments.Daisy absolutely loves being outside and enjoys going for walks, which is perfect because she is currently overweight and will need a home committed to helping her get the exercise she needs. With a little consistency and care, Daisy will be well on her way to a healthier, happier life. While Daisy gets along with other low-energy dogs, she would really prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention for herself. We’re not sure how she is with cats, but with slow and proper introductions, she would likely adjust just fine.Because of her shy nature, Daisy would do best in a quiet home, ideally with older teenage children or no children at all. She’s looking for a peaceful place to feel safe and loved, and in return, she’ll offer unmatched loyalty, calm companionship, and lots of cuddles on the couch. If you’ve been searching for a gentle soul to walk by your side and curl up with you at the end of the day, Daisy may be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100
