Story
Lahni is a friendly and affectionate female dog who is loyal and protective of her loved ones. She is playful, brave, and athletic, and loves giving kisses. Lahni is a loving dog who would make a great addition to any family. She is approximately 3 years old and weighs 100 pounds. She shows no interest in other dogs, so a calm/chill dog or no dogs. NO cats. Knows basic commands, working on excitement on walks so she will need a strong parent(s). Lahni's past has aged her 5+ years (she looks older than a 3 year old girl) - but she's come a long way from the patchy/bald spotted, sores all over her body, general unthrifty girl she was when first rescued. She will need continued support after adoption to maintain a good skin/coat (Apoquel daily, a quality non-chicken food/diet, supplements such as Hip/Joint & Fish Oil.) Lahni's hoping that's not too much to ask, especially when in return she plans to be completely smitten with you & your very best pal! www.misfitangelsrescue.org for an application! Spayed, gastropexy surgery, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Lahni, please fill out an application at www.misfitangelsrescue.org or text 586-339-5443

Story
Brenda is a 2 year old French bulldog bull mastiff mix. She is adorable and fun-loving taking on more of the French bulldog temperament. She is bright, trains well, and she’s playful. Brenda deserves a family, adult(s) and children. She needs mature attention and time to play. She loves walks, open fields, and company. I am a single mother with two boys, and I would love for her to have a similar family make-up. Brenda enjoys chewing sticks. I’ve also allowed her to chew old toys that I provide. She is hyper, however she is two and has time to mature stated by vets and trainers. I wish the best life for her as I move. If you think Brenda would be a good fit for your family, please apply. I would love to meet you all! Thank you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. It took a while to get to know Ivan because he was extremely sick with pneumonia when he first came into our rescue and didn't exude much of a personality. Now that he is feeling so much better, his personality is really starting to come out, and he is just as sweet and gentle as the day I first met him. He is instantly loved by everyone who meets him. Ivan is a bit reserved when he first meets people, will check you out, give a sniff, and happily accept pets, but doesn't wag his tail right away and definitely will not jump on you. He is great with other animals, cats included, and all children big and small, young and old. He is an all around laid back boy but gets super excited when I come home from work, will wag his tail, run around, jump on the couch, and exuberantly express his happiness. He is content to do whatever his family is doing, whether that be laying on the couch, going for a walk, or looking for squirrels in the backyard. He is also excellent on a leash. He is not bad in the bath either. He rides well in the car and is crate trained, and while he doesn't seem to understand commands like "sit" he more than makes up for it by being a very good listener and well behaved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 30, 2024, 5:11 pm

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely.
