One minute she’s zooming through the yard like a goofy puppy, the next she’s melting into your side like she’s made of pudding. She’s equal parts smush-face snuggler and rambunctious clown, and she thrives on connection—physically, emotionally, and always within earshot.Isla is the kind of dog who demands to be part of the moment. If you think you’re going to sit in another room without her, think again. She’ll let you know—loudly—that she expects an invite. She barks for attention, to go outside, or just to remind you she’s still the center of your universe. But behind that bark is a girl who simply wants to be seen, heard, and deeply loved.She’s house trained, good in the car, and walks well on leash, though she has her stubborn streak. If she’s not in the mood to do what you ask, she’ll happily pretend she didn’t hear you and take off in the opposite direction. Isla is clever—she knows how to work a room and get what she wants, especially if food is involved. She’s a professional counter surfer and an expert in food theft, so be ready to guard your snacks like treasure.When she’s not scheming for bites or running laps in the yard, Isla can be found soaking up the sun or sprawled across the softest surface in the house—ideally your bed. She loves being outside, loves being chased, and absolutely lives for those short bursts of wild energy followed by a solid nap. She’s not destructive, just... enthusiastic. If you’re not with her, she’ll wait at the door, pawing and whining until you return. She simply doesn’t believe in solitude.Isla is best suited for a home without small children, not because she isn’t sweet, but because she plays with her mouth and doesn’t always realize how big she is. Teenagers or older would be ideal. She would also love a fenced-in yard where she can stretch her legs and play without too much risk of running off. Above all, Isla needs a person—or people—who are home a lot, willing to laugh at her antics, help her pace herself, and give her the full attention she craves and deserves.This girl may be in her golden years, but she’s got a sparkle in her eyes and a zest for life that lights up every room she’s in.
