Note: As a bonded pair, Libby and Murphy must be adopted together.Meet Libby, a 5-year-old Great Dane/Mastiff mix with a heart as big as her paws. This beautiful girl takes a little time to warm up to new surroundings, but she makes every second of the wait worth it.Libby arrived at the shelter with her companion, Murphy, and would be thrilled to find a home with him as she finds confidence through him. She is highly motivated by treats, which is the quickest way to her heart and a great tool for building her confidence. If she joins a home with another dog, she would do best with a confident, calm friend who can show her the ropes at her own pace.Because we do not have a known history of how Libby does with cats or children, she will thrive with a family that understands the importance of a slow, structured decompression period and patient introductions.Libby is currently working through some common skin and ear sensitivities with our medical team. She is responding well to a trial of allergy medication and a long-acting topical treatment for her ears. Her new family will just need to coordinate with their veterinarian to keep her feeling her best.Once she feels settled, you`ll find that she is a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side. If you have a patient heart and a pocket full of treats, Libby is ready to find her forever landing spot.Libby is spayed and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, dewormed, and is microchipped.If you are interested in adopting Libby, reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.
