Story
She’s a big, beautiful girl with a gentle heart and a sweet personality to match. 💛She would do best in a home with a calm, mellow dog that shares her relaxed vibe and energy level. Right now, she’s a bit intimidated by my husky, so a quieter companion would really help her feel safe and comfortable. She absolutely loves people and thrives on attention and affection. 🙌She’s been wonderful with my 8-year-old daughter—patient, kind, and playful in the best way. As for cats, I’m not completely sure how she’d do. She’s only ever seen my cat from behind a baby gate, so a slow and careful introduction would be important if there are cats in the home. Overall, she’s a loving, loyal girl who just needs the right environment to truly shine. 🥰🎉

Story
Meet Cody, a handsome 7-year-old gentleman who found himself at the shelter after his beloved owner sadly passed away. Cody was incredibly close to his human and was a true comfort companion, making the transition to the shelter a big, loud change for him. While he is still settling in and can be a bit shy and nervous initially, this resilient boy is doing his best and patiently waiting for the forever home he truly deserves. While Cody can be a bit timid at first, his gentle soul shines through once he knows he is safe. He absolutely loves receiving gentle pets and will lean right in for affection once he warms up to you. One of his absolute favorite things to do is head outside, where the quiet fresh air and nice weather help him relax and unwind. To help him feel his absolute best, Cody has a history of doing wonderfully with a daily anxiety medication given by his previous owner, which his future family will want to continue to keep his routine consistent. Additionally, our vet team checked out a small lump under the skin near his left hind knee. The good news is that testing showed absolutely no signs of cancer cells! It`s just something for his future family to keep an eye on, and if it ever changes in size or appearance down the road, your vet can take another look.Because Cody came to us following a loss, we don`t have past history regarding how he feels about sharing a home with other dogs, cats, or young children. He has done wonderfully seeing other dogs here at the shelter but he hasn’t formally met another dog here. With patient, slow introductions, our team is more than happy to help guide the process and set your family up for a lifetime of success.Cody is neutered, microchipped, and dewormed. He is also completely up to date on his flea and tick preventatives as well as all of his core vaccinations, including Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies. All this brave guy needs now is a loving hand to lead him home.If you have any questions about Cody or our adoption process, feel free to reach out at (920)-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. You can also stop by during our open hours to take a look around.

Story
Meet Scrumps - the big, goofy, one-of-a-kind heartthrob with a smile so unique it deserves its own fan club. At just one year old, Scrumps has that perfect mix of playful puppy energy and “please love me” cuddle vibes packed into 115 lbs of dog. He LOVES carrying his toys around like prized possessions and will absolutely parade them in front of you like he just won Best in Show. His hobbies include: sprinting (or rather speed-waddling) around the yard chasing toys like he just remembered he has legs, going on sniff-filled walks (snow snacks included), collecting compliments (he will not stop until he gets them), and practicing “sit” like the smart cookie he is. Scrumps is also a certified road-trip buddy! After any activity, Scrumps` signature move is to melt into you with his classic full-body lean while you deliver top-tier butt rubs. It’s his love language. Real talk: Shelter life is starting to stress this big guy out. He`s spent 4 months now in a shelter and he`s over it. Because he’s bored and has all that pent-up energy, Scrumps has recently picked up a not-so-great hobby… like trying to swallow his stuffed toys whole instead of just showing them off. (We love the enthusiasm, buddy, but… those are friends, not snacks.)What he really needs is a home where he can decompress, burn off energy, have his snuggle needs met, and get the mental and physical engagement he deserves.Scrumps’ dream home would include older kids who can handle his big, bouncy energy, and he’s looking for a cat-free household (he says “hard pass” to feline friends). He would likely be happiest as your one-and-only dog superstar where he can soak up all the attention. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
