ABOUT:
Meet Benedict — a sleek, handsome black cat with a gentle soul and a quiet charm that reveals itself in the sweetest ways. At about one year old, Benedict is still a young cat with a playful side, but he prefers to take life at a slower, softer pace. He loves watching the world go by from a cozy window perch and never turns down a tasty snack. Give him a toy mouse or a wand to chase, and you’ll see his shy reserve melt into playful delight.
Benedict is naturally reserved around new people, but with time, patience, and kindness, he warms up into a loving, funny companion. He seems to feel most at ease in calm spaces and does especially well with gentle, quiet people and mellow animal friends. Although shy, Benedict has a goofy side he saves for those he trusts — don’t be surprised if you catch him doing his signature “crab walk,” showing off his belly and scooting across the floor for some well-earned pets. He has forged a supportive and warm relationship with S'mores, a shy male who's also at our adoption center. We'd love to have the two sweet males adopted together. We will even waive one of the adoption fees and have these two sweeties adopted for the price of one.
For a peaceful household looking for a cat who will thrive on calm days and gentle affection, Benedict could be the perfect match. He won’t demand the spotlight but will reward your patience with sweet moments of trust, silly antics, and quiet companionship by your side or at the window. Benedict is ready to find a safe, loving home where he can be exactly who he is — shy, sweet, and perfectly himself.
