I found Dashi eating garbage in the middle of the street last year. I took him to the vet and discovered that he has an owner, however they had originally adopted him to use as a mouser for a basement in a business that closed. We decided to try to keep him, but he doesn’t get along with our other cat. Honestly, he’s a jerk. We’ve tried everything, but he attacks our cat on sight, and we can’t deal with it anymore. He’s a brilliant mouser, with at least 6 kills in the time that we have had him. He’s great with our dogs, but would need a home without other cats. We’re are currently separating him in the basement at night, but he hates it and it isn’t fair to make him live like this. We’re are starting him on Prozac, however if that doesn’t work we will need to let him go. With his struggles I’m concerned that he will be euthanized. If you are looking for a little jerk with a lot of personality he could be for you. We will hold on to him for as long as possible.
