Story
Apollo aka Polly Pocket is the sweetest boy ever. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, never hissed once. He is a snuggler, & often purrs so hard that he drools. However, he is super high anxiety & I fear this has led to his behavioral litter box issues. It all began when he got lost outside in 2021 for 2 weeks. Ever since then, he's had litter box issues. For many years it was just pooping on the floor in front of the litter box, which is annoying but manageable. It has changed to now peeing in places that he shouldn't, which is a challenge esp when you don't own the space. I think his anxiety has increased because we are in a small space with 3 other animals. My guess is that he is unhappy & that it's leading to this behavior. I have tried everything the vet has suggested without success, and the vet has determined its behavioral/anxiety related. He would probably be happier as a solo cat with frequent outdoor access like a yard or barn where he can use the bathroom.
