There's nothing quite like puppy sweetness and silliness...and then they put their beautiful heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. These very loving young babies are so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them homeless and terrified or at a high-kill shelter scheduled for euthanasia due to a lack of space. . Taylor is a gorgeous 3 month old Cairn Terrier / Yorkshire Terrier with all the cuteness and loving spirit we've come to know from this breed mix. Her breeds are according to the opinion of Texas vets..all we know for certain is that she's absolutely adorable and irresistible! Taylor is starting out with great energy and a very sweet and kind nature. Taylor's Texas foster mom is thrilled to inform us that this puppy is absolutely blossoming. After just a short time in foster care, she sees that Taylor seems happier and braver in her new environment. She's becoming an adorable and fun- loving ball of love and sweetness that's emerging. We know that the long transport between Texas and Colorado will be a challenging setback for our sweet puppy, but with love and patience, we're certain she'll come around and thrive. Taylor is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. Once this puppy is comfortable with all the changes in her life, she'll be very loving and cuddly. This snuggly little girl would be very excited to be a couch or bed dog and cuddle with her favorite people at the end of an active day. Even at just 3 months old, it's clear that Taylor is SO smart and very engaging and social - very typical of the Terrier personality. Since Taylor is just a puppy, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. Taylor will form firm bonds with her family and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement puppy kindergarten followed by level 1 force-free Obedience Classes. These classes will make a profound difference in a puppy's ultimate behavior and in her relationship/bonding with her people. It does take time and commitment, yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. Farfel's Rescue feel very strongly that every dog deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement/force-free training classes that are virtual or in-person. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Taylor out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement/force-free virtual or in-person trainers in your area. We're open to Taylor finding her forever home with a retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart puppy. A younger family that works from a home-based office would also be a great choice for a puppy that would love nothing more than getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Taylor enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids (tail pulling or rough treatment will create an adult dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can also be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in both a dog's and a child's development. Taylor will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. Extensive new research shows that Taylor is far too young to be spayed at this time. When she's approximately 12 months old, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Taylor's spay if one of our rescue vets is used. Taylor will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 4/24/2024. If interested in this sweet as can be best friend, applications are currently being accepted. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Taylor, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog.
