Story
Stan is a 2-year, 2-month-old Cairn Terrier with a goofy, gentle soul. He loves giving toe and finger kisses, is easy-going, and does great in the house with no destructive behaviors. He’s potty trained with only occasional accidents, walks well on leash (still mastering the zig-zag ), and rides well in the car. Stan gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats, shows no food or toy aggression, and is happiest curled up in your lap or laying by your side. He may be a little shy when approached straight on, but with patience he warms up quickly and becomes the sweetest companion. Good doggo, great heart, ready for his forever home Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com/available-animals please note if you utilize an Iphone there are two scroll bars on the side of the screen to scroll down through available animals.   You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2609279##

Story
I'm Rex, also known as Rexamillion, Rexy, Rexathon and Rexecellent. I'm a sweet boy only about 4 years old. I'm a perfect size at 25 lbs. Not too big, not too small . . . just right as they say. I'm ready to settle in and be someone's BFF. I sure hope it is you! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2633206##

Story
Buffy was born in Rescue. She is now 9 mos old and weighs 15#. Buffy plays well with cats, kittens and other dogs. She has never been around kids but a respectful child 10+ may be considered. Buffy is spayed, chipped, HW-, and utd on vaccs. Buffy is crate trained and potty trained but will need continued positive support in a new house with a new routine. Mom is a border terrier mix. Buffy requires a fenced yard because she is still fearful of the leash. She has worked through most of her issues and has come a long way with her positive reinforcement training for being fearful but will need a patient owner who will continue to help her build confidence. She will do best with a friendly canine companion in the home who she can learn from and seek guidance. If you're interested in meeting Buffy, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Buffy's adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.    May 23, 2025, 8:30 am
