You must meet Bud! This handsome little man has come to us all the way from Alabama. Sadly, he was surrendered because his owner could no longer afford his care. Bud is a delightful, friendly little guy, a cuddly and affectionate little  lap dog  whose happy place is in your lap or following you wherever you go.  He is also great with other dogs and we think he is good with kids as well as long as they realize that he's not a stuffed toy..  Our best guess is Cairn Terrier and Chihuahua mix, but he could very well be a Yorkie mix also.  If you have room in your heart and home for this adorable little  boy, why not submit an application today and change his  life forever!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.  K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! We are all volunteer based organization so every cent from your donation goes directly to the dogs in our care. Visit: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/For more information on K-9 Lifesavers, or to view a complete listing of all our Adoptable Dogs, visit our website at www.k-9lifesavers.org.Please "like" our Facebook page for the most current events and new dogs!Thank you for considering a rescue dog! ##2383570##

Story
Dwight is 10-12 weeks old, 8lbs, don't think he'll get much bigger, unknown mixed breed and is absolutely precious, funny and has no clue that he is the smallest dog in his temp foster home. He is looking for a foster home with dogs his size or age as he still needs a companion or a human that is not out of the home for too long. Excellent in his crate, sleeps in it through the night, plays really well with dogs similar in his size and hops all over the place like a bunny 🥰 If you live within 30 miles of zip code 20906 and can open your heart and home to a deserving dog, please consider fostering Dwight. Foster home needs to be able to bring their dog to vet appointments in Silver Spring or Burtonsville for upcoming booster shots and Columbia for neutering.
