IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Zeke! Zeke is about 9 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. We think Zeke looks like a Cairn Terrier Mix of some sort -- JUST A GUESS. Are you looking for a happy-go-lucky pup? Zeke could be your guy! He's the perfect combination of "chill" & playful. His favorite activities include eating, going for walks, chasing bunnies (if allowed) and snuggling next to you on the sofa. He was a good boy for his bath & grooming, although he didn't love the clippers near his face. Can't say that I blame him! He is dog friendly but doesn't care for cats. If you have a feline friend in your home, we can cat test him. Zeke is house & crate trained, which is a huge bonus! Even if he isn't crated, he doesn't exhibit any destructive behavior. He's generally quiet but will occasionally speak up, if he's uncomfortable with a person, noise, etc. Overall, he's a really easy pup! ***NOTE: This dog will require grooming*** This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. The adoption fee is $300.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CK Rescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

In fact, Katelyn would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion that she can play with and become her built-in best friend. For Katelyn, having another dog isn't just a bonus—it's a must.   Katelyn is partially deaf, but she doesn't let that slow her down! She adapts wonderfully and responds well with consistency, patience, and visual cues. Because she can't always hear people approaching, Katelyn will need proper introductions when new people come into the home. Giving her a chance to see and greet visitors calmly helps her feel safe and comfortable. Once she knows someone, she's a sweet, loving companion who enjoys being part of the family.  With a little understanding of her hearing impairment and a thoughtful introduction routine, Katelyn will thrive in a home that appreciates what a special girl she is.  Once Katelyn feels safe with her family, she is a happy, affectionate, and devoted companion.  She's doing wonderfully in her foster home with children and has been welcoming to visitors who come into the house after she's had a chance to settle in and feel comfortable.     Katelyn isn't looking for a perfect family—she's simply looking for her family. If your home includes a friendly, confident dog looking for a new best friend, and you're ready to offer patience, understanding, and a sense of security, Katelyn will reward you with unwavering love and loyalty.     Apply today and give Katelyn the forever home she's been dreaming of! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
BUBBLES REQUIRES A QUIET HOME - NO CITY/APARTMENT LIVING. PREFERABLY A FENCED YARD. Hi, I'm Bubbles, the ultimate people person - I want to be the only pet in your home! If you are looking for a loyal companion who thinks the sun rises and sets on you, Bubbles is your girl! This little 15-pound bundle of affection loves every single human she meets. She is a world-class cuddler who just wants to be by your side, soaking up all the attention you’re willing to give. Her perfect day? Sitting right next to you, happily chewing on a bully stick or tossing around her favorite toys. She is independent enough to entertain herself with her chew bones, but she always wants to do it right next to her favorite person. Bubbles also enjoys long walks (does well on leash except when passing other dogs) and is crate trained. Bubbles is a true terrier with a very high prey drive and significant reactivity toward other animals, especially other dogs. We suspect she may have had some tough experiences in her past that left her feeling insecure, and this reactive behavior is simply part of who she is. Because this is a deep-rooted behavior that needs to be safely managed rather than trained out, Bubbles needs an adopter who understands terrier traits and is comfortable managing her reactivity on walks or in public settings, ensuring she feels safe and secure. Bubbles doesn't need a neighborhood pack—she just needs you. In exchange for a home where she can be the solo queen of the castle, she will give you endless loyalty, entertainment, and unconditional love. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Meet Butler – A Little Terrier with a Big Personality!Meet Butler – A Little Terrier with a Big Personality! Hi there! My name is Butler, and while my story started with a little mystery, I'm hoping it ends with a forever family. Somehow, I found myself wandering the streets of a small rural town in Tennessee until I landed in the local Sheriff's front yard. Don't worry—I was caught completely unarmed and wasn't committing any crimes... unless being ridiculously cute is against the law! The nice folks here think I'm about a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix, and I tip the scales at a perfect 20 pounds. I'm just the right size for road trips, couch cuddles, neighborhood walks, and all of life's adventures. I'm a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs, absolutely loves people, and is still letting everyone discover all the wonderful things about me. One thing I've noticed? The ladies seem to swoon when they meet me... the human ladies, that is! But now that I'm neutered, my dating days are behind me, and I'm fully focused on finding the one relationship that really matters—a forever family. My wish list isn't very long. I'd love a comfy dog bed, people who will love me, and a home where I can finally settle in and know I belong. My foster mom says she'd happily keep me if she weren't dedicated to saving more dogs like me. Since she's making room for the next pup in need, I'm hoping my perfect family finds me soon. Could that be you? If you're looking for a happy, handsome companion who's ready to be your best friend, I'd love to meet you. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about me. I can't wait to meet my forever family!August 24, 2026, 1:25 pm

Story
We adopted Xander 8 1/2 years ago in Nebraska. He has always been fairly skittish since we got him at around 12 weeks old. Xander does not have motion sickness but he does not get comfortable in the car. Unfortunately, we will be moving to Italy and need a good place to re-home. He is very sweet and energetic and hates large objects and gets scared of them. We are looking for a home that is loving and patient.
