Story
Meet Butler – A Little Terrier with a Big Personality!Meet Butler – A Little Terrier with a Big Personality! Hi there! My name is Butler, and while my story started with a little mystery, I'm hoping it ends with a forever family. Somehow, I found myself wandering the streets of a small rural town in Tennessee until I landed in the local Sheriff's front yard. Don't worry—I was caught completely unarmed and wasn't committing any crimes... unless being ridiculously cute is against the law! The nice folks here think I'm about a 2-year-old Cairn Terrier mix, and I tip the scales at a perfect 20 pounds. I'm just the right size for road trips, couch cuddles, neighborhood walks, and all of life's adventures. I'm a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs, absolutely loves people, and is still letting everyone discover all the wonderful things about me. One thing I've noticed? The ladies seem to swoon when they meet me... the human ladies, that is! But now that I'm neutered, my dating days are behind me, and I'm fully focused on finding the one relationship that really matters—a forever family. My wish list isn't very long. I'd love a comfy dog bed, people who will love me, and a home where I can finally settle in and know I belong. My foster mom says she'd happily keep me if she weren't dedicated to saving more dogs like me. Since she's making room for the next pup in need, I'm hoping my perfect family finds me soon. Could that be you? If you're looking for a happy, handsome companion who's ready to be your best friend, I'd love to meet you. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about me. I can't wait to meet my forever family!August 23, 2026, 9:52 pm

Story
Meet Rufus, a Scruffy, a Loyal & Energetic boy.Rufus was a well-loved canine who had been with his family since he was just 8 weeks old. Sadly, as his owners grew older and faced health challenges, they could no longer keep up with his energetic spirit. Rufus is now settling into foster care and hoping to find an active family ready to give him the loving forever home he deserves.Rufus is a friendly, curious guy who enjoys both people and other animals. He has done well with the dogs in his foster home and is respectful when another dog lets him know they need some space. He has also done well with the resident cats indoors, although a running cat outside may be far too tempting for him to resist chasing! Rufus has been around children and would enjoy having older kids to play and adventure with. This smart boy is house and crate trained and walks nicely on leash, although an interesting scent may inspire a little pulling. Rufus has had limited experience with car rides in his foster home. On his first ride, he became carsick after having eaten beforehand, so traveling on an empty stomach may help him feel more comfortable as he gets accustomed to riding in the car.Rufus has plenty of youthful energy and would love a family who will include him in walks, outings and daily activities. He definitely wants to be wherever his people are! Because an open door can look like an invitation to explore, his new family will need to be mindful of doors and continue working with him on recall.Rufus may be a medium-small guy, but he has a surprisingly big voice and isn't shy about announcing neighborhood activity! He is loyal, lively and full of personality, with lots of love and enthusiasm to share. An active couple or family with older children who will give him plenty of exercise, attention and adventures would be a wonderful match for this fun-loving boy.All known information about the animal is listed above.
