Story
This little sweetie was found running loose without any collar or id and obviously had not been cared for. She was very dirty, her coat was extremely matted especially on her behind and she had been previously breed. We are so glad we were able to rescue her and give her the love and care she deserves. Storm is a happy, loving and playful dog that enjoys being with her humans and the other dogs at her foster home. Her age was estimated to be 4 years old and she weighs 13 pounds. Storm is ready to enjoy the rest of her life being cared for and loved. Come and meet her at our adoption events.

Story
Merlin is such a handsome, sweet little boy! He is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 15 pounds. Meet Merlin, a fun-spirited, loveable and wiggly boy who is excited to find his forever home. Sadly, Merlin is heartworm positive, and we are looking for a family who wants to foster him, which could lead to adoption if you fall in love! You will not meet a happier guy, he is super friendly, adorable of course, and very attentive to you. Merlin loves giving gentle kisses and seems to enjoy cuddling, who doesn't! He really likes toys and easily relinquishes them. When we saw Merlin, we knew he was something special and had to bring him to our rescue. He will be starting his treatment soon and will need a quiet, low-key type of home where he can calmly recover and heal. So, he will need a committed foster who can try to keep him relaxed during his treatment. Merlin will also need a home where any children are respectful, calm and at least 8 years old so he can have a peaceful place to live during his treatment. Merlin would love it if you came to meet him, he is truly going to make a wonderful best friend, and he really wants a family to love. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Merlin would love to meet them. He has a friendly, open loose approach with other dogs. Meet Fritz! He is a young adult, terrier mix who needs a very special home. Fritz did not have the best start in life but he is slowly learning how amazing life can be.  He needs an adult only home with a family that has worked with very timid and shy dogs. He is one who he needs to see that everything is safe; that means letting him blossom on his own terms. He has been around cats and small dogs and has done well, but he will need very social and easy going pet friends who will also give him time and people who will do slow and safely planned introductions.  Because he is skittish at first (and is sensitive to environmental sounds), a fenced yard is needed for his safety. He is asking for a lot, but we just want this boy to be successful and loved for the rest of his life. If you are looking for a sweet soul who needs patience, kindness, and a gentle hand, then head to www.ccrcdogs.to fill out an application.             We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners.
