Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Sailor is a Cairn Terrier/Chinese Crested mix who is equal parts fun, playful, smart, and cuddly! This moderately high-energy girl loves just about everything life has to offer—toys, bones, treats, food, people, and especially being part of the pack. Sailor can be a little cautious when she encounters something new, but once she realizes she’s safe, she doesn’t take long to warm up to her people. She is looking for a confident, playful canine companion who can show her the ropes and give her some good cues to follow. Having another dog in the home will help Sailor continue building her confidence, learning her manners, and adapting more quickly to new surroundings. This girl has plenty of energy, so an active family who can give her plenty of opportunities to run, play, learn, and explore will be important. She loves a good game of fetch and having a canine buddy to engage in zoomies with. A securely fenced yard is a must for Sailor, as she is a bit of an escape artist and absolutely loves to run! She has discovered that an open door can be an invitation to adventure, so her family will need to be extra careful about securing doorways before opening them. In true Terrier fashion, Sailor can be a little vocal, especially when responding to another vocal dog or something interesting outside. However, she is also extremely smart and food motivated, which has made training fun and rewarding. She is eager to learn, and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement, training, and consistency in her forever home. She also loves car rides! Sailor is crate trained and is very close to being fully potty trained, especially when she is kept on a consistent routine. She is great with kids who respect boundaries and loves being involved in whatever her people are doing. When the zoomies are over? She turns into the sweetest cuddle bug. She loves snuggling with her humans and soaking up the sunshine in a cozy spot. Sailor is still learning that the world is a safe place and that good manners pay off, so patience, consistency, and continued guidance will be important for her. Give her the right outlet for all that energy, a confident canine friend to learn from, and a family willing to keep working with her, and you’ll have a smart, playful little companion who is always ready for the next adventure—and then happy to curl up beside you when the day is done. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Welcome Bitsy to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 5-pound small Terrier/Cairn mixed pup. Her mom is Monica. She was on the street as a stray. We took her in to find out she was pregnant. The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Bitsy is one of the smaller pups in the litter. She is full of personality and very good with her litter group. She goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. She likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. We do think Bitsy will be 15 pounds or less full grown. She is not a big shedder. She will make some lucky family a good pet. Anyone who adopts a puppy should not work all day everyday because a puppy needs to be with their family and not home alone all day. She needs to finish up her puppy training. She will be a great dog for a social person wanting a matching puppy personality. She would be fine in a smaller condo size yard. She would be fine with other dogs. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is getting spayed, vaccinated and she will be ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video

The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Hannah is the most fluffy puppy in the rescue and she has slightly longer legs. This will make her a nice walking companion. Her coat is soft and thick. She is a fun pup to pet because of her coat. She is full of personality and very good with her litter group. Welcome Sean to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 5-pound small Terrier/Cairn mixed pup. His mom is Monica. Monica was on the street as a stray. We took her in to find out she was pregnant. The puppies were born in our Rescue. They have gotten lots of interaction. They are very social and friendly. Sean is one of the middle sized boy pups. He has a fluffy coat but not as fluffy as his sister Hannah. He is cute and has the most adorable expressions. He likes being held and is very trusting of all people. He should be 10 to 12 pounds is our best guess full grown. He should be small enough to take with you in a doggy sling or bag. He is a fun pup to pet because of his coat. He is full of personality and very good with his litter group. He goes on a wee pad and is good in a crate. He likes all people and is not shy around strangers. Her mom is 15 pounds. Our guess would be 10 to 12 for him. He is not a big shedder. He will make some lucky family a good pet. Story
Hay Dude Equine Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Texas. All of our dogs live in foster homes in TX and are transported to their new states once adopted. All adopters must be 21+. Applications can be found at haydudeequine.org. Meet Darla! 🩷 Hi, I’m Darla, a 3-year-old, 13-pound little sweetheart who is looking for someone to love me forever! I was found as a stray in New Mexico, and while I’m not sure how I ended up on my own, I’m pretty sure I was meant to end up in someone’s lap. ❤️ We think I’m a Cairn Terrier/Parson’s Terrier mix, and I’m basically the perfect combination of cute, cuddly, and just a little bit scruffy! My head is wonderfully soft and non-shedding, while my back has that adorable wiry terrier coat that sheds a little—so apparently I couldn’t decide which hairstyle I wanted and went with both. 😂 I’m very sweet and loving, and one of my favorite things in the whole world is snuggling with my people. I can be a little nervous when I first meet someone new, but give me just a little time and I’ll warm up quickly. Once I know you’re a friend, I’m all about the love! I’m also very good with other dogs. I have a submissive, easygoing personality and would happily share my space with canine friends. If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart, a love for snuggles, and an adorable little terrier face, Darla might just be your girl. 🥰

Story
Hi friends! I'm joining The Rescue Crew on Wednesday, August 26, and I need a home ready to welcome me when I arrive!  I’m looking for either a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Want to foster? You’ll give me a safe, temporary place to stay while The Rescue Crew provides the supplies, veterinary care, and support I need until I find my forever family. Think you might want to adopt me? Foster-to-adopt may be a great option! You’ll start as my foster caregiver, giving us a chance to get to know one another before deciding whether adoption is the right fit. There’s no obligation to adopt should you decide it's not the right time, or I'm not your iideal pet. Because I’m not yet in The Rescue Crew’s care, I’m not available through the regular adoption process yet. If you’re interested in either fostering me or potentially adopting me through foster-to-adopt, please complete the Foster Caregiver Questionnaire. Our team will follow up with you about next steps.
