Story
Fern is another furry friend that came to wescue with a broken leg. How a puppy broke her leg, remains a mystery but Fern isn't worried about it anymore. Fern quickly had surgery after arriving at wescue. Crate rest for recovery has been rough on a girl that just wants to play but she hopes to be released soon so she can play all day long!! She would love a home with a fenced backyard for running and stuffies for playing. She is a puppy and would benefit from a schedule and patience as she learns the rules of the house. With the right guience she will be the perfect family dog for years to come! Age: 9 months Weight: 15 lbs Dogs: Good Cats: unknown Children: Friendly Fern has been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $400 and includes 6 months’ heartworm preventative meds, prepaid lifetime premium microchip registration, and safety harness If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting Fern, please apply online at wsrh.com Please do NOT send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large number of inquiries. If you have a specific question, please email us at westiehouston@gmail.com but in order to be considered for adoption, you must complete an application. All dogs are available until “Adoption Pending” is noted next to their names. WSRH DOES NOT HAVE A PUBLIC SHELTER. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN PRIVATE HOMES. Approved adopters only will be invited

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   This baby was dumped at the shelter as a Euthanasia request by his family.  The dog they loved them for years, needed eye meds and a dental.  He was not neutered either (he is now) Thankfully he was HW negative, but sadly his fecal tested positive for giardia. He lost a BUNCH of teeth in his dental. and is being treated for the intestinal parasite. He's a happy, friendly little guy who wants nothing more than to be loved.  He's a great little dog!!!  Can he come be your baby?  Can you give him the home he deserves?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 27, 2026, 1:40 pm
