Story
If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who’ll be by your side through everything, Oscar might just be your perfect match! This sweet, affectionate pup is a true Velcro dog — happiest when he’s near his person. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and dogs or in new environments, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and loving personality shines through. Don’t let that soft side fool you, though — he’s got plenty of energy! Oscar loves playtime and will thrive with daily exercise and mental stimulation. Chew toys are a must, especially while he learns what’s okay to nibble on. Oscar is still working on his potty training and will need a patient, consistent adopter to help him keep improving. Because he bonds so closely, he can get a bit anxious when left alone, so a family who’s home often or willing to help him build confidence would be ideal. Oscar is a male Cairn Terrier mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/15/24. He weighs 13 lbs.

Story
Dottie is a sweet, gentle girl with a playful side. She entertains herself wonderfully, but gets along well with other dogs. We believe she is around six or seven years old. She was found wondering in a business complex completely hairless, and with good nutrition and flea medication her fur is growing in curly she seems to have some poodle mix in her genes. She walks perfectly on a leash and is a quiet girl ##2492000##

Story
Meet Glen, a remarkable 7 year old, mixed breed weighing 27 pounds, with a heart as big as Texas. Glen's journey brought him to Camo Rescue's Houston facility in 2021, where he has been a beloved resident ever since. Glen is a dog full of love and energy, always ready for an adventure outdoors. His favorite activities include running around outdoors, splashing in water, and exploring every nook and cranny of his surroundings. He's potty trained and does good with leash walking. While Glen is a loving dog once he warms up to you. He comes with some challenges that require experienced handling. Glen is very kennel aggressive and doesn't appreciate correction. He struggles most during meal times as he resource guards his food. Glen's forever family would need to be understanding and capable of ensuring meal times are as safe and comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Despite these behaviors, Glen is deeply affectionate and fiercely loyal to those he trusts. For Glen to thrive, he would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the only dog, ensuring he receives the focused attention and structured environment he needs. His forever family must provide a secure and loving atmosphere, along with careful management of his behaviors. With patience, understanding, and the right environment, Glen promises to blossom into an extraordinary companion, enriching the lives of his adoptive family with his unwavering devotion and adventurous spirit. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special boy, Glen is waiting to embark on his next chapter with you. Glen's adoption fee is WAIVED FOR THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
🕵️‍♂️ Meet Spy – The Scruffy Terrier with a Tender Heart 🐾 Spy is a 5-year-old, 24-pound Cairn Terrier with a rough-around-the-edges charm and a heart that just needs a little patience to shine. He’s had a tough past, so he can be wary of new people and may take some time to trust. But if you go slow, give him space, and earn his confidence, you’ll see the sweet, goofy side that’s worth every bit of effort. Spy is potty trained and really enjoys the company of other dogs — they seem to help him feel more comfortable and confident. He’s still learning that people can be gentle; sudden movements can make him flinch, so he’ll do best in a calm, adult-only home that understands his need for time and kindness. He loves toys, treats, and having a routine. He’s also working on his leash manners — he’s a bit of a puller, but he’s eager to explore and experience life outside of what he’s known. Spy isn’t the kind of dog who will trust overnight, but for the right person — someone patient, compassionate, and steady — he’ll be a deeply rewarding companion. Give him time, and Spy will show you what true resilience (and unconditional love) looks like. Adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com Adoption fees are variable. Story
3 months old Freya is only 6 lb at the moment and may not grow more than 15. Freya and her sister Frida were found by a busy freeway with their mother Fiona by a Good Samaritan who saved their lives. She looked for their home but after 2 weeks when no one claimed them, she surrendered them to our rescue. Freya lives with her mom and sister, her foster brother Buster (see picture), 7 year old human sister and four kitty foster siblings. She loves her human foster sister and loves to play with her. Freya is very loving and super adorable. She likes to run around, follow her humans, observes every little thing. She is very sweet and giving Freya has puppy energy and therefore needs a patient home who understands how to work with puppies. She is current on all her shots. She is microchipped, heartworm negative and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventative. Like all our underaged puppies, she will get spayed before she leaves for her forever home. She is currently being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Freya's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelters, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and the shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
