05/11/24 Everest is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. This young man was described as being shy but friendly and affectionate. It can take Everest a little while to get comfortable in a new place, so he is looking for a patient home that will let him bloom in his own time. Once he's comfortable, he is quite the ham! Everest was said to ride well in the car and to use his litterbox reliably. If you are interested in meeting mister Everest, please give us a call!01/08/24 This little guy is Everest! Everest was surrendered to the shelter because he and his friend Fritz had giardia that was transmitted to their owner. Their owner felt that she could manage their medical needs. The shelter vet saw both Fritz and Everest and have finished their treatments for giardia. A fecal was sent to an outside lab that came back negative for giardia, confirming that it was resolved! Everest is not the most tidy when it comes to using his litterbox and might benefit from having a covered litterbox. Everest is very food-motivated and has been eating a prescription diet due to help with his gi upset. Everest was described as being shy in his last home, but since heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been feeling better, he has started to become more outgoing! Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends - people and animals alike! Everest is also beginning to really enjoy playing with toys and will dabble in the cat nip!
