Lucy is a 10-year-old mixed breed calico lady, a gentle snugglebug who likes to lay alongside you or in your lap once she gets to know you. She was adopted from a shelter as a "teenager" (young but past kittenhood) and has been a sweet companion to an elderly couple. She can be a bit timid at first in a new situation, and likes to have a dark place to hide while she gets the lay of the land, but she has been the dominant cat in her two-cat household and won't take long to show her queenly colors again. Her companion, Little Bit (who is a larger but more timid cat) is also going up for adoption at the same time. They can be adopted together or separately.

Their mom cat decided to give birth inside the backseat of someone's car. Apparently, the window was rolled down, so she climbed in to try and keep them safe. When they were discovered, we were contacted to see if we could take them in. We of course said yes and placed the whole family (mom included) into one of our amazing foster homes. All three kittens are sweet, social and playful. They can be adopted individually or in a pair. Here are some unique traits that set them apart from each other. Tigger - This gorgeous girl is the most adventurous one. She is the first to try new things and test the water out for her two siblings. If anything, or anyone new comes into the house, she is the one that investigates the situation. Her foster home says she has been the one that hits the milestones first in development too. She also loves looking out the window and if she sees her foster mom outside, will rub all over the windowsill to get her attention. She is a very expressive and engaging kitten. Eeyore - This adorable boy started out as the baby of the litter but has since blossomed into a big handsome boy. He loves to jump and climb on his cat tree and will also join his sister for a nap in the window. He loves to be held and kissed. And if you are looking for an affectionate guy, he definitely is the one for you. He is simply wonderful. Piglet - She is the mellowest of the litter. But when she plays and wrestles with her siblings, she definitely holds her own. Her foster home reports she is particularly good at catching the feather wand and holding on to her prize. She has a very cute way about her, and she is such a beauty too. An all-around great kitty that is sure to capture the heart of her new person or family. They are both sweet and playful but loud noises and quick movements still scare them a little bit. They have made tons of progress in their foster home but still need that little extra amount of patience to allow them to fully trust their humans. They can be adopted together or individually. They also can join a home with another resident cat. Here are some individual traits about both of them. Katniss - She is the more confident of the two. She is cautious at first when meeting new people but warms up very quickly. She loves to play with her brother and also the other kitties in her foster home. She has a very sweet demeanor, and we think as she becomes more and more comfortable, she will be a vocal kitty, she just has to find her voice. She would love to have a forever home and express to you every day how grateful she is for having been rescued. Peeta - He takes his cues from Katniss. If she is relaxed, then he relaxes quickly. He is still learning this 'trusting humans' thing but once he thinks you are okay in his book, then he is a purring machine. He loves to play up a storm with any kitty and with any type of toy. We MUST NOT let this mother and FOUR NEWBORN kittens be put back onto the streets! Mom is a SUPER FRIENDLY Calico Sweetheart- kittens were born last week (neighbor took the pregnant Mom indoors to be safe but cannot keep them there!) These four tiny babies are still WITH MOM, we need a FOSTER HOME for the four kittens WITH the Calico Mom! If you have a GUEST room or other SAFE SPACE where Mom can raise her babies, YOU get to PLAY WITH THE KITTENS and help socialize them, then YOU may be considered to adopt the PICK OF THE LITTER (Preferably two, of course, because kittens are best in pairs!) Oreo is a very sweet boy but he's very shy! He needs a nice quiet home that's patient with him and willing to give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. When he was younger he was fostered by a lady and her small daughter. He absolutely loved the little girl but she was very allergic. So he had to come here to the rescue. He likes having safe spaces that are quiet and enclosed to hide in. He is more of the personality that he will come to you when he is ready so he needs a family who understands that.
