Since coming into rescue, she has already shown wonderful signs of improvement. I adopted Martin in April 2023 from Adopt-A-Purr. She is house trained and she also likes to spend time in a secure patio I have. In other words, she cannot roam the streets but enjoy sunshine and natural light. She eats kibble and wet food in the morning. She is very petite: 8 lbs and she is 4 years old. She loves to give kisses. She is not a lap cat and she does not like being picked up. She comes to you when you are sitting down to get affection, and her favorite thing to do is to be on a table near you so she can put the front paws on your body and give kisses on your chin. She gets along with dogs but do not interact with them. If the dog comes to smell her, she walks away. She needs a very patient new owner because during the first three days of placement she will be in shock. So you need to have a bathroom or other room that you do not use to let Martin get used to the new home during those three first days. After that, she will do great.

Opie is a big boy. We adopted him as a 6-8-month-old 5 years ago. He was/is very skittish - he came from an abusive situation before us and has some trauma as a result. He would be best in a one-cat home where he can be king. He prefers a calm/quiet environment. He is very affectionate to the person he attaches himself to. He does not like to share. We have recently moved to a condo that only allows 2 pets per house, and our grandchildren are here often, which is very difficult for Opie. We have another older cat and a dog who have no problem with the kids, chaos, or each other. If you have a big heart and room for a cat who needs to be your only, please adopt him - he deserves it.
