Story
Darcee was a stray that was brought to PAWS after she went into a house with a man when he got home from work! No one stepped up to claim her so we had her vetted - Spayed, shots, microchipped, - and now she is ready for her forever home. She is a beautiful calico that is only about 1 1/2 years old. She is very affectionate but does have her "calico moments". She loves sitting on the office desk and lying up on the counter watching for folks to come in. She will make a great companion. She does well with other cats after they are introduced properly and has developed a close bond with Tiana (one of our chihuahuas who loves cats!!). Her adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adopting Darcee or any of the other babies at PAWS, you will need to complete the PAWS application. Be sure to answer everything in as much detail as possible and provide information about shots, heartworm preventative and the name, address and phone number for the vet where all vetting can be verified, even if you no longer have your pet. The application can be found by leaving this site and going to https://www.pawspaws.org. Thanks for your interest!

Story
Meet Dora, aka Dora Doodle Bug. Dora has been with me since the day she was born, which makes this one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. She’s spent her entire life surrounded by love and has been my companion through countless life changes and adventures. Dora is incredibly affectionate and thrives on attention from her people. She’s the kind of cat who wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing, especially if you’re going to the bathroom. In fact, she’s earned the nickname “Bathroom Buddy” because she believes no bathroom trip should ever be taken alone. She is also quite the talker and loves having conversations with her humans. Whether she’s greeting you, asking for attention, or simply sharing her opinions, she always has something to say. One of her cutest quirks is that she shakes her tail when she’s excited to see you, almost like a little happy dance. I hope to find her a home where she'll be cherished and loved as much as she deserves.

Story
Meet [Cat’s Name]. I’ve had her since the day she was born, and she has been my shadow ever since. We’ve traveled across multiple states together and been through more life changes than I can count. Through it all, she’s always chosen one place to be—right by my side. She is very much a mama’s girl. Her favorite spot is sleeping near my head at night, and she’s happiest when she knows her person is close by. While she loves her human deeply, she’s not the type to demand constant attention. She tends to keep to herself, enjoys quiet spaces, and has a gentle, independent nature. She’s looking for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and given time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll become the kind of companion who simply wants to be near you—sharing the room, the couch, and eventually your pillow. This is an incredibly difficult decision, so finding the right home matters far more than finding the quickest one. I would love to stay in contact and receive occasional updates.

Story
We have made the difficult decision to rehome our sweet cat, Ophelia (the gray tabby in the photos). She gets along well with both cats and dogs. Both of Ophie’s furry friends passed away since these photos were taken, and she has been lonely since then. With my daughter leaving for college and my recent move into my elderly mother’s home to help care for her declining health, we are no longer able to keep Ophelia with us. This has been an incredibly painful decision for our family.I rescued Ophelia as a tiny kitten during the pandemic from a fast food drive-thru and she has been deeply loved ever since. We have spent years fostering, rescuing, and adopting animals, so needing to rehome one of our own is truly heartbreaking. We are desperately hoping to find a safe, loving home for this sweet girl where she can receive the love and companionship she deserves.PLEASE share this post and reach out if you or someone you trust may be interested in giving Ophelia a wonderful home. 🐈‍⬛
