Beck visited my elderly mom over the brutal winter and made herself at home. She loves to play and visit the outdoors, but fears that she’ll trip my mother make her stay with mom more short term than we’d have liked.

Lucille is a gorgeous 4-year-old calico who has come a long way since she first arrived at the Rescue. She’s still not quite ready to be your pick-up-and-snuggle-baby... but honestly, Lucille has a very important message for you: "I will decide when we cuddle. Thank you for understanding.” This sweet and sassy girl absolutely enjoys affection—on HER terms, of course! She’ll happily accept pets and attention when she’s in the mood, but she has no problem letting you know when her affection quota has officially been reached. Lucille is looking for someone who understands that earning her trust takes patience and respect. Follow her rules, and you’ll be rewarded with something pretty special: her loyalty, friendship, and trust. Lucille is also a professional climber and believes the best place to supervise her kingdom is from the highest point available. Cat trees, shelves, window perches... if it’s up high, Lucille is probably already planning her route. And the way to this girl’s heart? Churu treats and wet food. We’re not saying you can buy her love... but we’re also not saying you can’t. Lucille seems to especially enjoy the company of male cats and kittens. She can be a little jealous and territorial with the ladies, so she would likely be happiest as an only cat—or potentially with a laid-back male feline friend. But truthfully? Lucille would make a wonderful one-and-only. She’ll have all the attention to herself, plenty of high places to survey her kingdom, delicious wet food, Churus on demand, and a human who understands that love sometimes comes with a few rules. If you’re looking for a cat who will immediately crawl into your lap, Lucille may not be your girl. But if you’re looking for a beautiful, funny, independent girl who will slowly learn to trust you—and then give you the incredible gift of her friendship—Lucille might just be your perfect match. Chanel is friendly, chatty, and wonderful with both adults and children. She would make a lovely companion for a family looking for an affectionate cat with plenty of personality.Chanel dreams of being the only pet in her home so she can enjoy all the attention for herself. She can tolerate other cats, but she will need a patient adjustment period and a very slow, proper introduction. Rosie actually was born here. We decided to keep her out of all the brothers and sisters. She ended up having two litters herself and was always a great mother to not only her own babies but other cats babies. She just has a motherly way about her. She does not like to be hugged or cuddled though she will get on your lap if SHE wants to. Rosie's ALWAYS up for the top of her head to be scratched however. That is her favorite spot! She puts up with kids if every age and any animal also. After her two liters though we did get her fixed. I am moving and I'm not able to take her with me. I tried to ask family members so that I would know that she would be taken care of and we could even visit but unfortunately no one was able to take her.

Elsie arrived at the shelter in May 2025. She was being fostered in New Bethlehem, PA. The person who was fostering her could no longer keep her. She is still timid and afraid of her new environment. Volunteers are able to pet her. Kacy was discovered at a construction site for a house where several cats were being hoarded. Despite her challenging beginnings, she has proven to be an incredibly sweet girl who quickly wins over everyone she meets. One of Kacy's most distinctive features is her bob tail, which makes her stand out from the crowd. She has a gentle disposition and is very affectionate with our volunteers. Among the other cats, Kacy is recognized as the alpha, displaying confidence and leadership. Although Kacy gets along well with people, she would truly thrive as the only cat in a household. She dreams of finding a loving family where she can be the center of attention and share her affection without competition. We don't really know Taylor's backstory however we don't need it to know he is such a sweet boy who loves attention.

Midnight came to us from a hoarding case of over 160 cats. She was only with us a short time when I noticed she was having unusual discharge. Thankfully we were able to get her in the clinic and have emergency spay done which confirmed pyometra. Midnight is recovered and ready to cuddle up with her new family.
