Calico kittens & cats in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Sassy is a beautiful calico cat who is around 1.5-2 years old. This sweet girl hasn’t had the easiest life. Prior to our rescue taking her in, she was with another rescue who adopted out of Petco and Petsmart, where she was sent. Being in a glass box was not for Sassy. Being poked, prodded and stared at every day for hours upon hours turned her from a very loving cat to a very scared and withdrawn one. This is when the rescue decided to surrender her to us where we could safely put her in a foster home. She has been in a foster home for about 3 months and is thriving now. She has come out of her shell and learned she’s safe once again. No more glass boxes for her. Sassy is spayed, FIV/ FLV Tested negative, current on vaccinations, microchipped, will be seen by a vet and given a clean bill of health prior to adoption. Her name is Beatrix and she lives up to her name's Latin origins of "voyager" or "traveler". This little lady was a stray. Outside, cold, hungry, and severely underweight. She wandered into the neighborhood and found the right home to take her in and help her on her next voyage of finding a permanent family. We estimate Beatrix is about 10 months old. Beatrix loves to be pet and to receive affection. She seeks attention and is an appreciative kitty. Beatrix is young and enthusiastic and chases after strings, shoelaces, crinkle balls and runs throughout the house. She is learning how to interact & socialize with other cats and is making continuous progress. She is spayed and received rabies and feline distemper vaccines. No food allergies. She is litter trained.

Otis is a unique boy. He is very independent who thrives being out of his pen, roaming the room & checking out what he can see out the big window. He also likes to indulge some catnip! His attitude is slightly spicey, but not over the top. He was a stray when he came to the shelter & has forgotten what home life is all about. With a patient human to love and understand Otis, he no doubt would blossom into a great companion. Caution, at this time he gets along with some of the other kitties when he is out of his pen & there are others he isn`t respectful to. It is also recommended by this writer that Otis live in a home with at least adolescent age children due to his spicey nature at times. This writer personally enjoys being with Otis` during his time out of his pen. He literally gives me a run around when it is time to go back into his pen. He loves his freedom!
