That said, once she’s separated from her kittens and given time to adjust, she may do just fine with another cat with a slow, proper introduction. There are two cats one belonged to my son who's is moving away after finishing college. The other is a friend who was a roommate but moved away to care for mother and does not have a plan to return anytime soon. I have a dog and the three do not get along. I work long hours and am a single mother I don't have the time or finances to care for 3 animals. I've tried to make it work because the cats have been together for so long but Jack (tan and white) bullies the dog when no one is here, he does not get along with dogs. Raisin (black cat adopted through you 10 years ago) is a sweetheart and gets along with everyone.

Abilene is the kind of young cat that makes your heart ache in the gentlest way. At eight months old, she’s shy when meeting new people and cautious with new cats at first.
