Story
Ru is a bit of a nervous, scaredy-cat with new people and children, but when she bonds with her human, she sticks with her favorite! She is very cuddly when she is comfortable, and she loves to snuggle up in any tiny crevice she can squeeze herself into. Digging a tunnel into the blankets until she is warm and cozy is one of her favorite things to do. She has lived the past several years with a male housemate kitty, but they butt heads quite a bit. She hasn't ever been around other cats or animals so I'm unsure how she would react with them. Since having small children join the household and moving to a home with even less hiding spaces, she has become more nervous and has lashed out a few times at the kids when they stumbled upon her hiding in their play areas. She has never gone out of her way to hurt anyone, but she doesn't seem to like being around kids very much. With the right person in a calm and caring environment, she is a wonderful companion cat to come home to.

Story
Sweet Penelope had her world turned upside down when her previous owner died. Thrown into shelter life, she did not know how to deal with her new surroundings. After lots of time to decompress and realize the LV team really isn't so bad after all, Penelope has slowly started to warm up. She desperately seeks a consistent home where she can spend the rest of her days. She would prefer to be the only cat, but she also can coexist. All she really needs is someone to be patient and kind and give her the home she craves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Lydia. My babies and I were found outside the Sistersville City Building by two nice ladies. They called the Olive Branch for help. I needed a safe place to take care of my babies. Both of my babies have long since been adopted, but here I am...waiting. I don't understand why. I'm a very nice kitty. I'm a litte bit shy at first, but I'm looking for ear scratches and attention in no time. I get along well with the other cats, and I don't seem to mind dogs, as long as they aren't too nosey.  I'll make a great companion for someone who is looking for a bright eyed girl like me! I have been spayed, combo tested and vaccinated. If you would like to meet me, call 304-652-1010 to set up a time.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 11, 2025, 3:01 pm

Story
Nelly is a heartbreaker! You can't help but fall in love with this lovable girl. She is affectionate and cuddly and loves human attention. She was recently diagnosed with feline coronavirus, which causes gastrointestinal issues. She requires a special diet to keep the symptoms at bay. But Nelly doesn't let chronic tummy troubles get her down! She has been spunky and sweet from the day she arrived and will no doubt be ever more so in a home. For the safety and health of other cats, we recommend Nelly be the only cat in the home.

Story
Charlotte was found in an abandoned apartment along with her 5 babies.  She was an excellent momma tending to the needs of her kittens diligently.  She is not very people friendly but feel like if someone would take a chance on her she would become a wonderful cat.  She is clean to a fault, nor is she territorial.  Come see this pretty lady.October 28, 2024, 6:53 pm
