Like most cats, she loves treats, and she enjoys sitting on the back of the sofa gazing out the window. This is the purrfect spot to watch the birds. You'll often find her waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, respecting your privacy. Philomenia definitely values her 'me time,' so she would thrive best in a home as the only pet. Charlene was discovered at an abandoned restaurant with a collar severely embedded under her arm. After undergoing two surgeries, she has fully recovered. From the very beginning, she showed her rescue foster how thankful she was. However, Charlene has experienced trauma during her time on the streets, and as a result, she needs to be the only cat in the household. She may be a one-person cat, showing a preference for trusting females more than males. Due to her past experiences, she may often greet strangers with a hiss. However, if she chooses you as her person, she becomes truly affectionate, loving to curl up in your lap or snuggle with you in bed. Charlene is very food motivated but requires a special limited ingredient diet. She is estimated to be 3-5 years old and still enjoys playing with wand toys, as well as mice, balls, and springs. Don't forget to provide her with scratching posts and condos that she loves. Charlene is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, FIV negative, and microchipped. She will need an experienced cat adopter who has no children or other pets. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Gabby came in from a TNR location. She had a serious eye issue with both eyes. We decided to keep her, try to save her eyes. She was so friendly and deserved a new place to land. After multiple vet visits and many attempts, one eye just never improved. It needs nothing done but she is blind in the one eye. Thankfully the other eye responded well with the medicine and is she is doing great. She has seriously the most dense soft fur, she does shed a little but makes up for it all with her loving personality. She gets feisty at times and bites (not hard or in a mean way, just her way of playing) For this reason, she would do well in a home with older children who will understand her actions. A little over 2, she is incredibly sweet and one of the first to approach any visitors to the Cat Shed. She came to us through trapping along with her own kittens - survivors due largely to Charlie's amazing job as a mom. All kittens have long been adopted, but despite her pretty self and winning personality, after months, Charlie still hasn't found her people. Please consider giving this sweet cat the loving home she so deserves! She is very unique as in she has 3 common female types, Tuxedo, Tortie and Calico all in one.
