Story
Melvin was adopted from a no kill shelter near Auburn Alabama at the age of three months. He was raised inside the home as an emotional support animal. He knows basic commands, such as sit, stay, wait, will respond excitedly to “outside”. A very loving and well behaved dog around family and anyone invited into his home, but will act accordingly when an unknown person is around outside that doesn’t belong. Very good with other animals and children but supervision should be done around small children due to his size. He is currently 9 months old and weighs close to 85 pounds. Is microchipped. As a puppy he still has his moments of “zoomie” time and loves to play fetch with his tennis ball or favorite toy. I love him very much, but due to a chronic illness I can no longer spend time with him that is needed and that’s not fair to him.To adopt you will need a large fenced yard for him to run and exercise. Must have experience with large dogs. Please keep him well loved and safe.
