Story
Hi there, my name is Glasco! Or at least, that's what the folks at the shelter have been calling me. Who knows what my true breed mix is? Some say I might have some Cane Corso, Weimaraner, or even Great Dane in me, but without a DNA test, it's all just speculation.I found myself in the shelter on April 25, 2024, as a stray. Must've been quite the adventure to get here, but I can't remember much about it. What I do remember is this pesky abscess on my right elbow. Thankfully, the shelter's veterinarian is keeping an eye on it. I'm hoping it's nothing too serious, but I'm in good hands either way. They haven't been able to do any temperament testing yet because of my injury, but I like to think I'm a friendly guy once you get to know me. I've already been vaccinated and weighed in at 58 lbs. A bit thin for my size, but with regular meals now, I should fatten up in no time. One piece of fantastic news is that I tested negative for heartworm! That's a huge relief. I'll be updating my post once I've had some time to heal up and start feeling like myself again. Here's to brighter days ahead!*Update...My elbow is broken and my shoulder is dislocated and I will require surgery after some of the swelling goes down. I will most likely be in hospital for the next 30 days but will be needing a home to recover from my surgery. Either a foster home or a forever home. Will keep you update with my progress.

Story
Hi there! I'm Hoover, a spirited young pup with a heart as big as my paws. At just around 7-10 months old, I'm still discovering the world with boundless energy and an insatiable curiosity. They say I'm likely a mix of Cane Corso and Mastiff, which explains my impressive size and sturdy build. My journey hasn't been all sunshine and bones though. I used to spend nearly every moment chained up in a front yard across from an elementary school, longing to join in the laughter and games of the children. But fate had other plans for me. One day, I mustered the courage to break free from my chains and wandered over to the schoolyard, hoping for a taste of the fun. Unfortunately, my size frightened some of the kids, and animal control was called to intervene. That led me to the shelter on April 17, 2024.Despite my rocky start, life at the shelter has been a real tail-wagger. I've discovered the joy of long walks, the bliss of a good grooming session, and the comfort of regular vaccinations. And let's not forget the food-I'm a big fan! But what truly makes my tail wag is the love and attention I receive from the shelter staff and visitors alike. Now, I'm on the lookout for my forever family. If you're seeking a lovable giant who's still growing into his paws, look no further! I'm hoping to find a home with older children who will join me in playtime and adventures. So, if you're ready for a lifetime of love and laughter, come on down to the shelter and spend some time with me. I promise, you won't regret it!

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, House-trained,
Story
Pepper is very sweet and very energetic. She is 6.5 months old so still in puppy mode. She is mostly house trained but has accidents if we don't catch her request at the door quick enough. She sleeps through the night in her kennel. She has been showing aggression to our German Shephard lately which is why we need to rehome her. It occurs around food, treats, and toys, but it may be best for her to be in a single- dog home. She loves to play and cuddle. Walks well on a leash. She is good with our 4 year old daughter. Very kind but she does need to be watched when food is around. She is very food driven (it's that bloodhound nose!) And responds well to treats.
