EM ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact male ~8-9 months old ~35-45 pounds Vaccines given 7-7-26 No microchip ALT ID# 7-6-26 5 7-10-26 Needs socialization and desensitization, very scared and avoidant will bite when nervous, has gotten better since first day here, needs serious TLC *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull NOW; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian. Ocotilla Rd x Ramona Ave. ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact female ~2 yrs. old 95 pounds Vaccines given 6-5-26 No microchip ALT ID# 6-3-26 7 6-9-26 Go very slow with this girl, she is very fearful at this time, twitches with touch, will calm down in quiet environment and stop twitching, lowers head to be pet. Did great for exam. Walks on leash 7/15/26 - Dog is very strong and pulls heavily on leash, very outgoing with staff, can appear standoffish while in kennel. LOVES squeaky toys, is not food motivated, can be pet head to tail with no issues and likes to lean into staff for pets and attention. *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. I I got Kane when he was 3 months old he is now 1 year and 3 months old. I also have a Sheppard border collie mix male 7 years old I have had since born. My Sheppard for some reason does not like my cane corso, he keeps going after him and trying to fight with him and my cane corso keeps crying and running away from my Sheppard until a week ago he finally stood up to my Sheppard and they got into a fight, my husband and I broke them up but my Sheppard got hurt. I cannot keep my cane corso my husband says he is too big and too powerful I need an experienced handler to give him a good home. He is a very loving sweet dog he was only defending himself. He is not a violent dog we have kids and babies and he is good with kids. He is just really big and very powerful and needs a strong and experienced owner. He likes to cuddle and lay in your lap, he loves walks and is good when he goes out, even around other dogs.
