Nyla was a bit reserved when she first got here but has started to realize it is not so bad, especially when she is willing to try yummy dog treats. Usually food is a way to a dog's heart but Nyla has an elevated palate and can be a little picky about what treats are worth her time. But she loves attention and good scratches! Nyla is working on her leash manners, and sometimes needs a little convincing to go with the flow, she kind of reminds us of a baby hippo. Being a Cane Corso, Nyla does have a protective nature, and can appear intimidating with her loud bark and all that good slobber. If you tell her everything is ok she believes you and does well with positive reinforcement. She can be a little apprehensive about other dogs but is making good progress to see that most dogs can be friends. Nyla takes treats very calmly and would love nothing more than to hang out with her people all day. Nyla would love to meet you! Even if you just want to volunteer to take her on a walk! For how big he is Beau is very willing and easy to handle, he is a gentle giant. Because he is jumbo sized Beau will need someone comfortable with large breeds. Beau has a calm and sweet personality and really enjoys hanging out with his people (or pretty much anyone he meets). Being a Cane Corso, Beau does have a protective nature, he can appear intimidating with his loud bark and all that good slobber. He listens well to a confident leader and does well with positive reinforcement. Beau takes treats very calmly and would love nothing more than following his human around all day.
