Story
Atlas has been with me since he was 11 weeks old, he came from a reputable breeder in Ohio. He has a healthy and strong family tree, no health or behavioral issues. He would do best as an only pet or at least a female dog, and with a female owner. I raised him to guard the house so you can find him lounging by the door, he loves snacks, cuddles, and playing. He’s 3, and still very much a teenager. Will push your buttons or turn his nose up at you like you offended him. He’s the best boy, house, crate and muzzle trained. He will take a while to get used to a new home and doesn’t like strangers. He prefers yards to walks, he can get nervous.

Story
Meet Kifaru! Kifaru is a stunning Cane Corso with all the qualities that make this breed so admired: intelligence, loyalty, confidence, and a deep devotion to his family. Like many true guardian breeds, Kifaru is not the type of dog who immediately befriends everyone he meets. He takes time to assess new people and situations, and can be somewhat standoffish at first. However, once you've earned his trust, you'll gain a fiercely loyal companion who forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. As a Cane Corso, Kifaru embodies the breed's traditional purpose as a guardian and protector. Corsos are known for being thoughtful, discerning, and naturally protective rather than overly social with strangers. They thrive with confident, consistent handlers who appreciate the unique relationship that comes with owning a guardian breed. Kifaru is looking for someone who understands that trust is built, not rushed. One of Kifaru's favorite things is food, making him highly motivated and eager to work. He enjoys learning and engaging with his handler, and he already has an impressive training foundation. Kifaru knows all of his commands in German and has been trained to work off leash. That said, any new owner should focus on building a strong bond, trust, and communication system with him before testing his off-leash reliability or pursuing advanced training. A successful partnership with Kifaru starts with relationship first, training second.Once he's comfortable and connected, Kifaru's softer side shines through. Behind his serious guardian exterior is a dog who loves affection, enjoys snuggling with his trusted people, and genuinely wants to be close to his family. He is both a willing student and a devoted companion.Kifaru would do best with an owner who appreciates the Cane Corso's natural instincts, values structure and leadership, and is willing to invest the time needed to earn his trust. For the right person, Kifaru won't just be a pet, he'll be a loyal partner and lifelong best friend.Does Kifaru sound like the perfect match for you? Stop by the Adoption Center during open hours 11am-4pm Thursday-Tuesday (closed Wednesdays). Primary Color: Blue Brindle Secondary Color: Blue Brindle Weight: 50 Age: 3yrs 0mths 2wks
