Story
Meet Bane — Your Future Best Friend, Snuggle Buddy, and Adventure Partner! Location: Kemp, TXDOB: 8/13/2022Bane is a big, lovable boy with a heart overflowing with love and a personality that will keep you smiling! With his soulful eyes, goofy zoomies, impressive fetch skills, and absolute devotion to his people, Bane is the kind of dog who doesn't just want to be part of the family—he wants to be part of everything. Whether he's chasing a ball in the backyard, splashing in the water, enjoying a tasty chew, or snuggling on the couch, Bane is happiest when he's with his favorite humans.Bane has clearly been through a difficult past, but despite everything, he has so much love to give. When he rests his head on someone and gazes up with those sweet, soulful eyes, his gentle, affectionate nature shines through. He is a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to feel safe, loved, and close to his people.🎾 Play Hard, Snuggle Harder!Bane is a playful, energetic boy who loves a good game! Fetch is one of his specialties, and he's surprisingly talented at catching tossed balls and treats right out of the air. He also enjoys tug-of-war, durable chews, bones, snuffle mats, enrichment toys, and wrestling with his canine foster siblings. Water and mud? Absolutely! Random zoomies and chasing his own tail just for fun? You bet!Although Bane can be a bundle of energy outdoors, he generally settles nicely inside, especially when he has a chew or enrichment activity to enjoy. And when it's time to relax, this boy takes snuggling very seriously. Bane firmly believes that personal space is optional and may attempt to become a full-body weighted blanket while cuddling on the couch. If a cozy evening with a movie and a giant, affectionate cuddle buddy sounds perfect, Bane might be your guy!Bane is also VERY food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He enjoys treat-based games and is learning to make good choices through positive reinforcement. He currently knows “sit,” “leave it,” “out,” and “no,” and he has been working on “down.” He is housebroken, travels well in the car, and has plenty of potential to continue learning.🐶 A Social Boy Who Loves His CompanionsBane currently lives with several dogs and has done well with his foster pack. He enjoys having canine friends to play with and would likely thrive with a compatible medium-to-large dog who appreciates an enthusiastic playmate. Introductions should be gradual, as Bane may need time to feel comfortable with a new dog.Although he plays hard, Bane often displays submissive, appeasing behaviors with his canine companions. He does, however, need some guidance around toys and high-value chews. He has been observed hovering closely around other dogs who have toys, so shared toys and chews should be carefully supervised, and separate spaces may be needed to keep everyone comfortable.Bane has a prey drive and closely tracks the resident cat in his foster home. He requires frequent redirection around cats, so a cat-free home would likely be the best fit.He has also done well with visitors and has not shown concerning people-directed aggression in his foster home. He is a loving, affectionate boy who enjoys being near his humans.💛 Bane's Biggest Challenge: Separation AnxietyBane's greatest struggle is anxiety when separated from his people. He becomes extremely distressed when left alone or confined to a kennel for extended periods. His anxiety can lead to prolonged barking, whining, scratching, and jumping at doors or walls when he panics. He is working on crate training and can generally settle in his kennel at bedtime and for a morning nap after breakfast, but confinement at other times remains difficult.Bane currently takes prescribed medication for anxiety and will need a family committed to working with his veterinary team to manage his needs. His progress will require patience, consistency, and a compassionate understanding that his distress is real—not a behavior he can simply be expected to stop. His ideal home would have someone home most of the time, a flexible schedule, or a lifestyle that allows him to spend very little time alone. He needs a family willing to work gradually on his separation and kennel anxiety, using appropriate training and professional guidance as needed. He should not be left unattended outdoors, and his ability to remain safely alone will need to be carefully assessed as he settles into a new home.Bane also pulls on leash and will need continued training to develop better walking manners. He is strong and energetic, so a person prepared to work with a large, enthusiastic dog will be important.🏡 The Home Where Bane Will ShineBane could be a wonderful companion for a single person, a couple, or a family with children, provided the household can accommodate his energy and anxiety needs. He has done well with older children. Because of his size, strength, and excitement, he can accidentally bump into smaller children and may chase them when they run or become excited. Close supervision, thoughtful management, and physical barriers are important around young children. Bane can jump over baby gates with ease, so secure barriers are essential. Although he is affectionate and has tolerated handling well, any home with very young children will need to carefully consider whether it can safely manage his size and enthusiasm.A securely fenced yard where he can play fetch would be a wonderful bonus. Access to water for splashing and playing would be even better! Bane would also appreciate a home with plenty of enrichment, comfortable places to relax, tasty treats, and lots of opportunities to enjoy life alongside his people. He has a few physical reminders of his past, including scars and a mass on one front elbow that has been described as appearing consistent with fatty tissue. His medical needs should be reviewed with his veterinary team, and the mass should be appropriately monitored.🐾 A Few More Things to Love About BaneHousebroken: Yes!Car rides: He does great!Favorite activities: Fetch, tug-of-war, catching treats, water play, wrestling with dog friends, and snuggling.Favorite enrichment: Snuffle mats, food puzzles, treats, and durable chews.Training: Knows several basic cues and is continuing to learn.Dog friends: Potentially a great match with compatible medium-to-large dogs and careful introductions.Cats: Not recommended due to his prey drive and intense tracking behavior.Biggest needs: Help with separation anxiety, kennel training, leash manners, and a family that understands his emotional needs.❤️ Bane Deserves a Chance to Feel SafeBane isn't looking for a perfect home. He's looking for a patient, loving family who will see beyond his anxiety and recognize the incredibly sweet companion underneath it all.He needs people who understand that trust takes time, that progress may come in small steps, and that a dog who struggles to be alone isn't being difficult on purpose. In return, Bane offers an extraordinary amount of affection, endless entertainment, a loyal presence, and the kind of companionship that makes ordinary days feel special.Imagine starting the day with a goofy game of fetch, sharing a few treats during a training session, watching him happily splash around outside, and ending the evening with a giant cuddle session on the couch. That's the kind of life Bane dreams of sharing with his person.Bane is ready for a fresh start with someone who will give him the patience, security, and unconditional love he deserves. For the right person or family, this sweet, soulful boy could become not just a pet, but a true companion in every sense of the word.Could Bane be the missing piece of your family? ❤️===============================================================================To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .Note: SRGDRR adopts nationwide and offers transport options to help you find your perfect match! Chi is about 4 months old. She is a very wiggly and happy puppy. She is crate trained and quiet overnight. She knows how to sit and wait, and teaching her new tricks is easy. She's never been around cats, but she is good with other dogs and children. Since she is a cane corso mix she will need to be socialized, but so far she hasn't shown any signs of aggression towards other dogs, strangers, or vehicles. She isn't exactly house trained, but she hasn't had any accidents either.

Aye-aye, named after the animal, is about 4 months old. Very intelligent, also very energetic. She is crate trained and quiet all night. She also knows how to sit and wait. She likes to play outside or play tug-of-war. She has a bad habit of being mouthy, which is why she isn't very good with kids, but she isn't aggressive towards humans at all. She has been a bit food aggressive towards other dogs, but has never bitten. Outside of meal times she is fine with other dogs. She hasn't been house trained, but she doesn't have any bad habits either.

Story
Menace (affectionate) is about 4 months old. He is super snuggly and loves to be petted. He is crate trained, quiet all night, and pretty much house trained. He knows how to sit and wait, and teaching him new tricks is easy. He is a mouthy puppy with a lot of energy, so he isn't suited to be around children. Although he is okay with other dogs, he is very introverted and tries to avoid interactions with other animals. He is very much a people dog.
