Story
Simms is a silly short stack who wants to remind you that size is relative… he may be small, but he has a huge heart to share with you!! Simms recently spent about two weeks in a foster home- here’s what we learned:- He wants nothing more than to be close to his people- He loves to snuggle and is very loving - He enjoys chew toys- He walks well on leash “Simms has lots of love and affection to offer. He enjoys sitting on your lap or chilling close by on the couch. He walks well on a leash. He is mostly potty trained for short periods of time. He needs a quiet home with someone who is mostly a homebody.”Here’s what one of Simm’s friends at the shelter said: “I had the pleasure of spending time with Simms and his kennel mate tonight. He’s a bit of a vocal fella, but the shelter can be overwhelming. He is a little sweetie who just needs some TLC. Watch out for his sneak attacks as he climbs onto your lap for pets then steals an entire biscuit, almost as big as he is, out of your fanny pack. He knows he can get away with it. He and his kennel mate sat on either side of me for pets and looked like little twin bookends. When you meet him, give his butt a good scratch (after a proper introduction of course) and he may perform an interpretive dance for you!”Simms shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social, tolerant and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Simms today!!

Story
✨🐾 Meet Corky — A SECOND CHANCE FOR A STREET SURVIVOR 🐾✨ 💔 From the streets of Nogales,AZ to a new beginning — this gentle boy’s story deserves a happy ending. When this sweet pup was found wandering the streets of southern Arizona, he didn’t look good. His finder’s heart broke, but couldn’t take him in herself so she contacted Santa Cruz Animal Care & Control. She visited him at the shelter every day, determined not to let him be forgotten. 💞 When euthanasia became a real possibility, she made a brave choice: she pulled him to safety. Not because she was looking for another dog — but because her heart wouldn’t let her walk away. ❤️ Now this well-behaved, gentle soul is healthy, vaccinated, and ready for a forever home. ✨ About this handsome boy: 📅 2–3 years old ⚖️ 45 lbs 💉 Fully vaccinated & neutered 🏡 Housebroken, calm, affectionate 🚶‍♂️ Walks nicely on leash 🐾 Gets along well with others He’s the kind of dog who quietly reminds you what love, loyalty, and resilience look like. 💕 Now he just needs someone kind enough to give him the home he’s been waiting for. 💌 To adopt Corky, apply at https://airtable.com/appLYepkMeqjx3Tjh/shrtcmS9tSiQOdxMN Let’s make sure this sweet boy’s story ends in love — not loss. 🐕❤️ #RescueStory #ArizonaDog #AdoptDontShop #TucsonAdoptables #PimaAdoptables #RescuedDog #ArizonaRescue #TucsonRescue #SecondChanceDog #RescueDogLove #AdoptMe

Story
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Chef—a charming and uniquely adorable companion who’s part potato, part loaf of bread, and 100% lovable. Weighing in at approximately 20 pounds, Chef’s breed mix is a bit of a mystery, though he appears to be a Corgi mix. He is estimated to be around 10 years old.   Chef loves his daily walks, which are essential for both his happiness and waistline! His ideal home would include a secure yard where he can safely explore and indulge his love of chasing lizards and birds. Due to his activity needs and preferences, an apartment setting would not be ideal.   Chef would do best in a home without small children, cats, or other small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, or birds. While he generally gets along well with small dogs, he can be possessive of his toys. He would thrive either as an only pet or with a compatible canine companion, in an environment where he can be the center of attention. He will also flourish in a home with slow introductions to strangers and clear boundaries on what is expected from him.    A devoted companion, Chef loves nothing more than being close to his person—whether that means following them from room to room, lounging at their feet, or curling up in bed. As such, Chef is looking for someone who can spend the day with him—he’s not a fan of being left alone for long stretches.   Chef is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning. He has a very low titer for valley fever and is currently on a twice-daily fluconazole regimen. Additionally, he takes a low-dose prednisone tablet once daily, which is both affordable and manageable.   Chef is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a bit of quirky charm to a loving home that understands and embraces his needs.   Chef is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Catalina only. His adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 for PACC licensing.   Please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Chef!     *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). Story
💞🐾 Meet Dixie 💞🐾 Dixie is the tiny, tender-hearted mama who gave everything she had to her nine babies. We found her in an abandoned trailer in a rural area — scared, exhausted, but still loving and devoted. When she arrived, her puppies were just 3 weeks old. She protected them, nurtured them, and loved them until they were strong enough to start their own journeys. 💔🐶🐶🐶 Now those puppies are 8 weeks old and being adopted… and Dixie is the one left behind. 😭 She has done her job. She deserves her happy ending too. Dixie is as sweet as they come — gentle, affectionate, and endlessly grateful for love. She’s dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and absolutely lives for her people. She enjoys long walks, but her favorite place might be perched on the back of the couch, quietly watching the world go by. 🛋️✨ Her life before rescue was hard. Being a stray mama in a rural area takes a toll. Dixie has known hunger, loneliness, and uncertainty — but somehow she still loves with her whole heart. We want the rest of her life to be filled with safety, comfort, and the kind of love she’s never truly had. 💞 ⚠️ Dixie urgently needs placement! She cannot be left waiting while everyone else moves on. Please — be the person who chooses her. 🙏 🐾 Dixie’s Details: 💉 Up to date on vaccines ✂️ Spay appointment scheduled 🚽 Housebroken 🐕 Dog friendly 👧👦 Kid friendly ⚖️ 30 lbs of pure love 🏋️‍♀️ Comes with a training package from @thecompletecanine ❤️ Adopt Dixie Today: 👉 Adopt: https://airtable.com/appLYepkMeqjx3Tjh/shrtcmS9tSiQOdxMN 📞 Questions?
