Story
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Chef—a charming and uniquely adorable companion who’s part potato, part loaf of bread, and 100% lovable. Weighing in at approximately 20 pounds, Chef’s breed mix is a bit of a mystery, though he appears to be a Corgi mix. He is estimated to be around 10 years old.   Chef loves his daily walks, which are essential for both his happiness and waistline! His ideal home would include a secure yard where he can safely explore and indulge his love of chasing lizards and birds. Due to his activity needs and preferences, an apartment setting would not be ideal.   Chef would do best in a home without small children, cats, or other small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, or birds. While he generally gets along well with small dogs, he can be possessive of his toys. He would thrive either as an only pet or with a compatible canine companion, in an environment where he can be the center of attention. He will also flourish in a home with slow introductions to strangers and clear boundaries on what is expected from him.    A devoted companion, Chef loves nothing more than being close to his person—whether that means following them from room to room, lounging at their feet, or curling up in bed. As such, Chef is looking for someone who can spend the day with him—he’s not a fan of being left alone for long stretches.   Chef is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had a dental cleaning. He has a very low titer for valley fever and is currently on a twice-daily fluconazole regimen. Additionally, he takes a low-dose prednisone tablet once daily, which is both affordable and manageable.   Chef is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a bit of quirky charm to a loving home that understands and embraces his needs.   Chef is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita and Catalina only. His adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 for PACC licensing.   Please fill out an adoption application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com to meet Chef!     *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). I need to rehome my dog. I'm moving out of state for a undetermined amount of time. Also, I'm unable to afford certain aspects of her upbringing. I've had her for 7 years. She is my emotional support animal. She has been an inside dog her whole life. House broken and very affectionate.

Story
Gully came to us from the MCACC e-list. He is a shy boy but shows no aggression and warms up pretty quickly to new people (though has not been exposed to kids since with the rescue). He gets along with other dogs of all sizes and ages. He knows how to use the doggy door but we are not sure yet that he is leash trained so will need work on that and he is not 100% housebroken as he will potty outside most of the time but does still go inside so his foster has been working with him on the routine and learning the dog door Gully is 2-3 years old, 19-20 lbs and is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He will need a patient home with a secure yard where he is allowed to come around on his own timeline. He loves chasing balls and chewing through things so will need lots of toys and stimulation to help redirect his puppy tendencies. He also seems to do fine in a crate and is not vocal and tends to be pretty quiet. If you would like to adopt Gully submit application HERE https://form.jotform.com/cherishedtails/dog-application

Story
Foster Notes:Bear will great you every morning carrying his bed, a blanket or grab you by your shirt, shorts or any clothing he can put between his front teeth and pull you to where he wants you to go, which is usually the kitchen or his water/ food bowl. He`s a big overgrown puppy that can be super playful and very loving. He is in his destructive phase and will turn his sleeping area into a fluff covered floor after tearing into his beds. He is definitely a leader and will warn you of any movement on your property. He is still potty training but does know how to use doggy door. He`s good with most other dogs, but we have found that he doesn`t like a dog we are watching for a friend. A Meet and Greet would be required for anyone who has other dogs to have them meet if interested in adopting him. He is looking for a family that can fill his life with love, snuggle and adventures!

Story
Sweet senior alert! If you’ve got a soft spot in your heart and your home for a deserving senior pup, look no further! Gizmo is a super cute senior lowrider with personality for days; he loves people, walks, toys and affection! Gizmo came to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him and is looking forward to finding himself a comfy retirement home where he can be the apple of his new family’s eye! Gizmo’s former family said that he loves toys, knows tricks, and is playful but can also be a couch potato. He loves to be by his person’s side but also has an independent streak. He reportedly did well with young children and small dogs in the home.Gizmo found himself at risk due to shelter overcrowding and spent some time in a foster home. He did great around teenagers, was house trained, and liked to play tug o’ war and dismantle his stuffies. He was described as cuddly, loving and deeply attached to his chosen people. He’d love to find a home where he can be with his family as much as possible! Here’s what Gizmo’s friends at the shelter have said:“Gizmo is a super sweet boy. He was easy to leash to exit the kennel with and he LOVED his walk around the lake. He enjoyed watching and listening to the other dogs in the park. He is a social sweetie who would much rather be out with his volunteer friends than cooped up in a kennel!”“Gizmo has been a very good boy the last few times I took him out. He’s definitely stressed around his kennel, but once he’s outside, he walks great! I enjoy our walks together.”Gizmo has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re a sucker for stubby legs and an adorable white muzzle, Gizmo would love to meet you!
