Story
Meet Slinky! This spunky corgi mix is loyal, fun-loving, and eager to please. Slinky joined Bounce from our friends at NOCO Humane after being picked up as a stray and never reclaimed—but he’s made himself right at home in foster care. Slinky is incredibly sweet and forms strong bonds with his people. He can be a little shy when meeting new folks, but with patience and gentle encouragement, his confidence continues to blossom. Once he’s won over, he loves to follow his people from room to room and happily soaks up cuddles whenever they’re offered. Slinky’s done wonderfully with the toddler in his foster home (though he occasionally mistakes kid toys for dog toys—honestly, fair). He also gets along well with other dogs and cats and enjoys canine companionship. Like many herding breeds, Slinky can be mouthy when playing with other dogs, and he’s currently learning that guarding his favorite couch spot from canine companions is not a winning strategy (great progress is being made!). Fully potty trained and kennel trained, Slinky thrives on routine and does best in a home that can offer continued structure, boundaries, and positive socialization. He’s a smart, affectionate boy who’s ready to be someone’s devoted sidekick. Slinky is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Slinky is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting adoption events on Saturday, February 7 or 14. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applications February 2-15.* For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! Story
Teddie is a 3 year old small girl we're guessing to be a corgi or chihuahua mix. She will need a quieter home with patience and someone that gives her time to trust, she prefers her own space and some alone time. Since being in foster she has started engaging in play with other dogs. She has allowed her foster to come face to face and cuddle, and has discovered that she loves sleeping in bed with her foster mom. Leash training has been introduced with some resistance. She loves snacks. We have not seen her with kids or cats yet. She is about 25 lbs, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
