Located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders. Daisy was brought in with day old puppies, surrendered due to her being chained to a dog house. She is sweet girl who loves people! She is energetic, happy and gets along with other dogs. She has a very joyful personality who did not let her start ruin her life. She knows her name, does okay on a leash and does well in a car. She would be a great adventure companion who is open to new adventures with a new family.

Sigrit was picked up from Bloomington IN. She had an unfortunate start rescued from a hoarding breeding situation. I did not know at the time I picked her up, found out few months later through facebook. Sigrit is a chill dog, doesn’t need a ton of attention & is an independent pack dog. She is a typical Carolina. If you’re looking for an affectionate lap dog, Sigrit is not it. She’s loyal, protective & incredibly smart (sometimes to a fault). She loves open spaces to run and play, she loves to “seek” for treats or toys & play fetch. Carolinas have great climbing & jumping abilities; Sigrit is no exception. So, she’s not hopping the fence because she doesn’t want to, not because she can’t. Sigrit’s downfall is her anxiety. She’s been trained, however, she doesn’t like new surroundings & needs her own “space”, I rarely take her on walks though. She’s not a fan of the leash but has good recall & does ok off leash. She aloof around kids and dogs. But she does have a high prey drive.

Journey has been at the rescue for close to 3 years! Despite his lengthy stay he has continued to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. He is not only friendly towards humans, but also plays well with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-dog household. He is playful - loves toys. Journey also enjoys meeting new people, always hoping that one of the new humans will take him home. It is hard to believe that this friendly guy has been in rescue for most of his life. Is it because he isn't as pretty as some other dogs? It certainly isn't because of his behavior. Journey is waiting to have a home of his own with people who will provide him with the love and attention he deserves.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Cody is a spunky and curious girl. She lost her front left paw since we got her, but that does not deter her at all! She is very energetic, smart and clever, but can be mischievous! My ex adopted her, but I paid (and so have her under my name). Unfortunately I don't have the paperwork and my ex is no longer in the picture. My ex adopted 3 dogs, and took only 1 with her. I never had dogs before, my ex was the caretaker. Cody, DD. and Hunter (a small dachshund) have been together for almost 4 years now. She is the boss, so this is why I put down "unknown" for "good with dogs". She pushes the others away just to be first. She is jealous if you pay attention other dogs and is the train in the bus/train meme! She plays nice but she is always the chaser. She loves people, and she loves attention. I think she would be great only dog or a playmate for an equally energetic dog.

DD is a timid sweetheart! He is excited and happy to meet new people, but he also has a natural inclination to be aloof and timid after hes used to the people (oh, you're not new anymore!). He forgets his size and weight when excited, but is a gentle giant for the most part. We don't have kids, but I always feel like he'd be great with them! My ex adopted him, but I paid (and so he's under my name). Unfortunately I don't have the paperwork and my ex is longer in the picture. My ex adopted 3 dogs and only took 1 with her. I never had dogs before, my ex was the caretaker. DD have been with these other dogs for 4 years, and is very gentle with them. Hunter (a small dachshund) even bullies him sometimes, lol. Poor guy! He loves chilling and gives off big-dog energy (chill and aloof). I don't know if he is trained since we have a schedule and stick with it. He only vocal when hungry, but not when he has to go. He needs a loving home and would be great with kids and other pets.

My name is Brad and I’m looking for my forever home. I came to my foster home here in Machesney Park, IL, from a commercial breeding facility where I lived my whole life, making puppies. I’m a gentle, easy-going 9-y.o. guy. I was pretty scared at first, and I’m still cautious, but my curiosity and affectionate side still wins. Foster dad says he’s proud of me – on the very first day that I arrived, I got brave enough to approach him to say hello. I just looked up into his eyes and I think he melted! Aw, shucks. Yeah, I’m a good boy – I don’t get into trouble or have accidents. There are so many new things I’ve never experienced here, and noises and commotion can still spook me. But I like to follow the humans around and watch what they’re doing. And when foster dad sits quietly in his recliner, I’ll boop his hand to ask for some scritches. And I’ll look up into his eyes to make sure he knows how thankful I am. There are other dogs here and I like them. I’m also good with the human kids. If the 3-year-old gets too loud, I just find a quiet spot away from the racket. The 13-year-old is cool. I like to sit by her when she’s sitting at her desk. My name is Faye and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a 3 y.o. voluptuous, strong-willed beauty! I came to my foster home here in Machesney Park, IL, from a commercial breeding facility where I made puppies. I’m not used to living in a house with humans, but I’ve figured out how to manage them. I’m a good girl – smart too! I don’t have accidents and I don’t bother anyone or get into any trouble. Well… not anything obvious. Foster dad would like to boss me around. My name is Sammy and I’m looking for my forever home! I am a curious, smart, goofy, playful and sweet boy, around 7 y.o. I live in Munster, IN, with my foster family, but for most of my life I lived at a commercial breeding facility where I helped make puppies. Living in a home with humans is so much nicer! At first, I was shy and skittish around people, but then I learned that humans give belly rubs! OMG - what could be better? So now I follow them around everywhere. I haven't met any little humans so far, so I don't know how I'd react to them. There are other dogs here and I love to play with them. Foster dad says I'm a little bit bossy with them sometimes, but we get along well. I like being outside in the fenced yard, especially during bunny season! I've caught 3 of them so far and always on the lookout for more. Yep. I got the Shiba prey-drive gene! Because of this, I'm probably not a good match for a home with cats or other small pets. I’m learning so many new things here, like how to walk on a leash. Foster dad says I'll be a pro with a bit more practice. I’m potty trained and a good boy in the house. I will happily entertain myself with my favorite squeaky ball. I get a bit anxious if left all by myself, but if there are other dogs around, that helps a lot. My perfect forever home will have experience preventing escapes from open doors, gates or fences, since I'm always looking to chase more bunnies. I'd love to have a securely fenced yard and another dog to keep me company, but those are not required. I weigh 30 lbs and a healthy boy - neutered and vaccinated. The vet says that my kneecaps are a little bit loose. They don't bother me and the vet does not feel that I need surgery at this time.
