Story
Meet Miles, an absolutely adorable 1-2 year old 35 lb mixed breed that has the most gorgeous smile and waggin tail. What is his breed you say? We don't know for sure but think he looks like a Carolina Dog or Cattle dog with those upright ears and curved tail. It's just a guess, but a DNA test could surprise us all. Miles will bring a smile to your face everyday. He is good with ither dogs and has been to multiple events. He loves pets and loves to play. He is high energy and would love an active family to go on walks or hikes or just play fetch in the yard. Miles has had a couple of photo shoots and is always a great poser and goofball. Check out the video of photo shoot day and you can see how friendly he is. If you're looking at a family dog that's not too big and not too small and full of energy and love, come meet Miles! He's good with kids and other dogs - not much more you could ask for. If you think Miles sounds like what you are looking for, apply at www.caninecollective.org.

Fun Facts:

Recent DNA studies have shown that Carolina Dogs lack specific markers indicating they're of European origin, making them indigenous to Native America - at least, since thousands of years ago when they may have crossed the Bering Land Bridge from Asia.

Carolina Dogs go into heat just once a year (like wolves) instead of twice a year like most dogs.

Carolina Dogs cover their excrement by pushing sand over it with their noses. All other dogs outside of the Australian Dingo and an ancient Korean dog use their hindlegs.
