Story
Ozzy is a sweet, affectionate little guy who loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite people! He’s a fan of couch cuddles, head scratches, ear rubs, and giving puppy kisses. Give him a good ear rub, and he may just melt right into your lap! He has a playful, silly side, too, and loves chewing on toys, playing with stuffies, and wrestling with his sister, Harriet. Ozzy is still learning about the world and will need a patient family to help him build confidence. New people can make him nervous, so he may bark from a distance until he feels comfortable enough to approach. Once he learns to trust you, his affectionate personality really shines! He’s also working on his leash skills. At first, the leash was pretty scary, but he has made great progress and is now able to head outside with much less hesitation. He’s still sensitive to pressure on his neck and unsure of unfamiliar sounds, so walks will need to start slowly as he builds confidence. With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, he can continue learning that exploring the world can be fun! Ozzy is doing well with his crate training and settles in nicely when it’s time to relax. When left loose and unsupervised, however, his mischievous side can come out, so he’ll benefit from a little management while he continues learning the ropes. Ozzy has lived with several other dogs. He has done well with some smaller resident dogs, while interactions with others have been more challenging. So any canine companions will need proper introductions and supervision. Ozzy is an energetic, snuggly boy with so much potential. He’ll need a family willing to give him time to settle in, help him gain confidence, and continue working on his training. In return, you’ll get a loving little companion who is happiest curled up beside his favorite person. If you have a soft spot for sweet pups who need a little extra patience as they discover the world, Ozzy may be your perfect match!
