Ruby has been with me for a few years but i really don’t think i can give her the life she deserves. I don’t really see myself as a pet person and i will be gone a lot the next couple of years and it’s not fair to her. She is a nice cat who likes attention but i just don’t have the time for that.

We took this cat in from a Facebook friend whose father-in-law had early on-set dementia. She was neglected for months, and came to us matted and unkempt. She was very fearful and mistrusting at first. She has grown accustom to my wife and I, and has only "slapped" our young kids (2, 1 yrs old) when they try to mess with her. She is very playful and high energy. I think she would be a good cat for a house she can have to herself, or potentially with a dog as she doesn't mind our Dachshund. Her largest problem is she does not get along with one of our cats. He and her fight and it has led to our other cat's paw getting cut and lightly bleeding. Due to the stress of this relationship (i'm assuming) she pees in various places to mark territory. We are currently living in my mother-in-law's place while she's away, and can't keep the cat if she is continuing to pee (damaging her stuff). She's a beautiful cat and we are very sad to have to give her up... but it is necessary now.
