Story

Nori is a sweet girl who just has a belly that’s never full and it seems a brain that doesn’t know what to fill it with. She seems to have a ravenous need to consume everything edible in sight or smell and a unique desire to devour things made of fiber. That’s right. Fiber. She has so far eaten or attempted to eat our other cats collars, blankets, pillows, jackets, towels, tablecloths, stuffed animals, basically if it can be washed, she’s tried to put it in her mouth. Unfortunately we don’t have the resources (or frankly, my husband the patience) to try to get her help beyond our current means for what seems to be a fiber based Pica disorder. We’ve tried water spray training, rope toys, stimulating her with cat towers, cat nip, treat toys, raw food diet, calming collars, etc. Nothing stops the siren call within her to swallow down that sweet sweet fabric. She is a cuddly girl who will ride on your shoulder, litter box trained, and is chill in every other way.

Mochi was abandoned with the rest of his litter (four kittens) on a farm around October of 2024. He was the last of the kittens rescued it shows in his case of sniffles that never seem to go away. The rest of his siblings were adopted quickly but due to his “crustyness” he never managed to find a home. We became permanent fosters for him, not caring if he sneezed a little. We visited doctor after doctor and tried antibiotics, steroids, and special foods but nothing seemed to help. Around June of ‘25 the licking started. Mochi began licking and scratching himself bald across his body. Despite cones, bread (as seen in the picture), prescription ointments, $50 monthly shots, a raw food diet, and even weekly baths nothing seems to help for very long. Unfortunately we just can’t afford to continue trying to help him by finding what will help him. I can’t watch him hurt himself anymore. He’s the sweetest, cuddly boy and I hate to think of ever giving him up. I just want someone to help him.

Story

The two females (2 years old) have been together since they were about 2 months old. So, I preferably would like to see them go together. I would keep them myself, but in 2 years, they have already been moved 3 times, and I am looking to go back to CA. I can take them, but where I am moving, they already have cats and dogs, and it's an older couple, so don't want to rock the boat. I did not personally get these cats, but the person who did, threatened to throw them outside to fend for themselves. I would have no part of that since I am the primary caretaker of the cats she got. I just don't want to make them keep having to make moves on account of my life being so unstable right now. But I will not just abandon them, I will fight first. They are good companions, once they get to know the routine, but I have been their only owner, so I can't say how they will be with others.
