I started feeding some stray cats at the house I purchased. I adopted one female cat. She became mine , she moved inside the house . And I love her. Before I could get her spayed, she had a litter of three kittens. I found homes for them on Craigslist, and that went well. But when the prospective new owners came to pick the last one up. He didn’t want to go. She said her son was autistic, and I didn’t want to make her take him. I thought that would be bad for everyone. So he stayed. It’s been nearly two years now. I had to make a job change. And now make much less money. I still feed some outside cats. And between the costs and only wanting to have one inside cat. I need to try and find a new home for this male. He is well behaved but hasn’t had much interaction with other people. I live alone. And never have visitors.

Rose is a beautiful 6-year-old tortie whose world changed when her elderly owner had to move into assisted living. After spending her life in the only home she knew, Rose suddenly found herself starting over — and she’s been showing us more of who she is as she settles into foster care. Rose is a low-key, independent lady who appreciates having a space of her own and the freedom to decide when she’s ready for attention. Once she feels comfortable, she seeks out affection from her humans and enjoys their company. She just likes having a say in the matter — very tortie of her! Although Rose lived as an only cat previously, we’ve learned that she can peacefully share her home with other cats when introductions are handled appropriately. She can be a little chatty at times especially when she's asking for your attention. Autumn is curious makes friends with humans pretty quickly. Autumn came into rescue in pretty rough shape as a baby. Her eyes and overall health have improved tremendously. She was unfortunately diagnosed with both feline herpes and mycoplasma which means she can be a carrier for life. She would be best placed as an only kitty or with others like her. ##1538884##
