Story
Meet Aries 🖤🤍 Aries is a young adult neutered male tuxedo cat with a personality as bold as his classic black-and-white coat! He came to us with his annoying little sister (who apparently thought his whiskers were chew toys… they’re currently about half their original size 😹), but Aries has taken it all in stride like the gentleman he is. This handsome boy is incredibly social and absolutely loves to chat. If you’re looking for a feline who will greet you at the door, carry on conversations about his day, and offer the very best head butts as a sign of affection — Aries is your guy. He has a curious, adventurous nature and enjoys exploring his surroundings, always eager to see what’s happening next. His round little face and stunning amber eyes are enough to melt hearts instantly, but it’s his sweet, engaging personality that will truly win you over. Aries is neutered and ready to find a forever home where he can share his stories, his snuggles, and his signature head boops. If you’re ready for a charming, chatty companion with movie-star good looks (whiskers growing back soon 😉), Aries is waiting to meet you. 🐾 Aries adoption fee is $75, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Head to our website to submit your application.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Mario – Our Little Highway Survivor 🖤 Mario is an approximately 1-year-old neutered male black cat who has been with us since January 6, and his story is nothing short of incredible. Mario arrived at the shelter on a freezing winter day after being found huddled along the side of Highway 2 near Tilney Road. We wish Mario could tell us exactly what happened, but based on his injuries we believe he likely curled up under the hood of a vehicle to stay warm. When the vehicle drove away at highway speed, Mario appears to have fallen out onto the road. The fall left him with scrapes on his face, a head injury, and several broken teeth. Thankfully, a kind passerby noticed the injured little cat on the roadside and stopped to help, bringing him straight to us. Since that day, Mario has been under the dedicated care of our veterinary team. His recovery journey hasn’t been simple. Mario needed all of his teeth removed, was neutered (a unique surgery as he was half-cryptorchid — meaning one testicle had not descended), and for a time he even needed his bladder manually expressed while his brain healed enough to communicate with his body again. Through it all, Mario has been incredibly resilient. Today, we are thrilled to say that Mario is healed, happy, and finally ready to find his forever family. Despite everything he’s been through, Mario is a sweet, gentle soul who deserves a safe home where he will never have to fend for himself again. Mario’s adoption fee is $75 and he is: • Neutered • Started on his vaccination schedule • Microchipped We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our Emergency Medical Fund. Because of your generosity, animals like Mario are able to receive the care they need to heal and get a second chance at life. If you are interested in meeting this brave little survivor, please visit www.mjhs.ca, click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals, and scroll to Mario’s sweet face to submit your application. We can’t wait to help Mario find the loving home he deserves. 🖤

Story
Meet Mooney 🌙🐾 Mooney is a young adult spayed female, about 1 year old, with a stunning tabby coat and the sweetest expression. She was found as a stray and lovingly taken in by a kind soul who kept her safe until she could make her way to us. Now, Moonie is ready to find a forever home of her own. This beautiful girl seems to be quite the social butterfly with other cats. She enjoys feline companionship and, with a proper slow introduction, we think she would do just fine in a home with a cat-friendly kitty. She hasn’t had experience with dogs yet, so any canine introductions would need to be thoughtful and gradual. Mooney is at that perfect age — young enough to still be playful and curious, but mature enough to leave the wild curtain-climbing to the younger crowd. She enjoys attention, exploring her surroundings, and being part of the household activity without causing total chaos. Mooney’s adoption fee is $75. She is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule, and microchipped. If you’re ready to give this lovely tabby the safe, loving home she deserves, head to www.mjhs.ca, click the Adopt tab, and scroll to Mooney’s beautiful face to submit your application. Let’s help Mooney’s next chapter be her very best one. 💛

Story
Meet Button 🖤🐾 Button is a gorgeous young adult neutered male, about 6 months old, with a sleek black coat and an even sweeter personality. He came to us as a stray, and sadly no one came looking for him — but we know his forever family is out there. The family who brought Button in told us he was good with other cats while he was out and about on his own. With a proper, slow introduction, we believe he could also live successfully with a feline-friendly dog. He’s a social, easygoing boy who just wants to be part of the action. Button is still very much a kitten at heart. He loves to play, chase toys, and show off his silly antics — and he is guaranteed to keep his new family entertained for years to come. But as much as he enjoys playtime, he’s an absolute lush for love. Button adores being held, cuddled, and showered with affection. If you’re sitting down, expect him to find his way into your arms. Neutered and ready for his next chapter, Button is looking for a family who will give him the love and security he deserves. After starting life as a stray, he’s more than ready to trade the outdoors for a cozy home and a lifetime of snuggles. 🖤 Head to our website at www.mjhs.ca to submit your application.

Meet Spock! 🌟 This handsome 3–4-year-old tabby boy is as sweet and gentle as they come. Spock is a neutered male who appears to have lived in a home before—he’s impeccably clean, calm, and enjoys quiet company. Spock has an easygoing personality and doesn’t react to other animals, making him a great candidate for a multi-pet household. We always recommend slow, patient introductions when meeting new feline friends, just to make sure everyone feels comfortable. He’s already microchipped, dewormed, and started on his vaccination schedule including the Rabies vaccine, so he’s all set to beam up to his forever home! If you’re looking for a quiet, sweet, and tidy companion who will bring gentle affection and peace to your home, Spock might just be your perfect match. 🐾💫 Spock's adoption fee is $150.
