Story
Mocha is a beautiful 5 year old female Catahoula mix who is hoping to find a forever home. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Mocha weighs 50 pounds and would love to have someone to cuddle with her. She was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nala’s and her sad eyes tell her story. But she is a happy girl now at our ranch where she gets to run every day. She does need a fenced yard and she also enjoys car rides. Mocha will make someone a very loyal, lovable companion. We are located in Palm City, FL and adopt in our area. Please apply on our website at www.nalasrescue.org if you are looking for a sweet cuddler

Story
Meet Tazmo — A Senior Sweetheart Who Misses Family Life Tazmo is an 11‑year‑old mixed‑breed lovebug who adores people and has a lifetime of gentle companionship to offer. She came to Nala’s after her family lost their home, and we stepped in just before she was scheduled to be euthanized. Now she’s hoping for a soft place to land. Why Tazmo Is So Special Family‑raised — She spent 10 years sleeping in bed with the kids, loved and trusted as part of the family. Calm and easygoing — A true couch‑potato companion who’s happiest curled up beside you. Great on a leash — Gentle, steady, and easy to walk. Housebroken and well‑mannered — She knows home life and misses it dearly. Low‑maintenance — Minimal exercise needs and a beautiful short coat. She Qualifies for Our Senior Foster Program Because she’s a senior, Tazmo is part of Nala’s Senior Dog Permanent Foster Program, which has placed hundreds of older dogs into loving homes. If you foster her, Nala’s will help with food and/or veterinary costs — you provide the love, and we’ll support the rest. She Needs Out of the Kennel Tazmo is currently living in a kennel, but she’s a dog who belongs in a home. She’s gentle, affectionate, and deeply people‑oriented — she just wants someone to love again. If you can offer her a foster or forever home, you could change her life. Please get started by sending us an application here: www.nalasrescue.org . We are located in Palm City, FL

Story
I was actually born in foster care here about 10 years ago, so you could say this place has known me all my life. Since then, I’ve bounced between homes a few times — not because I’m a bad boy, but because I’ve always needed a little extra time and understanding to build trust with new people and situations. Once I feel safe, though, I’m as loyal and loving as they come.During my last stay, I joined the Homeward Bound program and spent a week with some great trainers who helped me meet new dogs, explore new environments, and gain confidence. I really blossomed! I was adopted into what I thought would be my forever home, but sadly, I came back when my beloved owner passed away unexpectedly. I’m adjusting well here again, but this time, I’m really hoping to find my true forever family.I can live with other dogs as long as they don’t mind a friend who can be a bit pushy sometimes. Small kids make me nervous, but teenagers are totally fine. Cats, though… yeah, they’re not for me.Now, I’ve got to be honest about one thing — I am highly food motivated. Like, really motivated. If it’s edible (and sometimes even if it’s not), I’m interested! Because I have very little self-control when it comes to snacks, my new family will need to help me keep my waistline in check. I’ll happily eat my way to a double chin if left to my own devices, and that’s just not great for a dog my age.If you’ve got a patient heart, a sense of humor, and a knack for portion control, I might just be your perfect companion. I’ve been waiting a long time for my forever — maybe it’s finally with you. 💛Requirements: Martingale Collar; Everyone In Home Must MeetAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
Canine Clip: Lucy was trapped as a stray and was then surrendered by her owner. She would need to meet any other dogs in the home. With a proper introduction, she would do well with another dog. she’s good with cats but curious. She enjoys learning new things and she is very smart. She would also love a super comfortable couch! Personality: She is a sweetheart with the happiest wagging tail and a heart full of love! She quickly bonds with her humans. Lucy LOVES belly rubs and daily walks. We are still building her confidence but she loves lounging on the couch. She is fully house trained. Dream Lifestyle: Lucy would love someone who has time for play and training, she is very intelligent and a fast learner. She would like a yard to have her zoomies in! Other Pets: She would be happy to share a home and human with other dogs (any size) or as an only pet to soak up all the attention! She is good with cats, but she is curious about them- she has never chased or harmed one. She need someone willing to continue her training, she has progressed so well over the last couple of months. She's ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to her furever family!!
