Story

Isla is an amazing, smart and loving dog, she loves attention and loves to cuddle on the couch after a long day. Isla knows, sit, stay, lay down, wait and shake. She is very good motivated. Isla does have trouble with pulling on the leash and being reactionary toward small animals, I have not seen her be aggressive toward other dogs, but she is extremely excitable and needs redirection training. I believe that if she had a big yard to run around in all day she would be the perfect dog. I just do not have that as I am in an apartment and the walks I take her on do not seem to be enough to get her energy out. Islas adoption will include a large crate with bed, toys, food bowl, leash and harness. I am happy to answer any and all questions and happy to do a meet and greet with prospective adopters. It saddens me that I must rehome Isla, but she deserves more time and attention and training than I am able to give her and she just seems bored and unhappy.

Nelly is a shy sweetie with a gentle demeanor. The shelter is a pretty startling place to be, but Nelly just takes it in stride. As long as new people approach slowly, she can be brave and make friends. She is house trained, good with most other dogs and walks nicely on leash. If you’re looking for a dog to be your number one fan, Nelly is the gal for you.

Story

Kiefer is a very smart, active guy who is not loving his time at the shelter. He is a dog that is ready to move and go on adventures. He loves learning new things, and has brought so much joy to his staff person who has been working on keeping him amused. He knows sit, sit/stay/come, get back, and spin! He is what we call a ""velcro dog"" and really likes to stay close to his person and is very eager to please! Kiefer really enjoyed playing and wrestling with another shelter dog so he may enjoy a dog friend in the home too! Kiefer also met a shelter kitty and was very excited and eager to meet her. She did not reciprocate the joy of the meeting, but Kiefer is likely cat friendly with slow introductions and initial supervision.
