And honestly? We can’t understand why. Lucy is a 2-year-old, 43 lb Catahoula mix with the sweetest soft soul and eyes that tell a whole story. She came into rescue focused on raising her babies, and she was an amazing mama. Now those puppies are off living their happily-ever-afters… and Lucy is ready to start her own chapter. This girl has been working SO hard in foster care. Lucy has been building her confidence, improving her leash skills, and learning that the world is not such a scary place after all. Every day she gets a little braver, a little more comfortable, and a little more playful. Watching her slowly bloom has been something really special. She can be shy at first, but once you earn her trust, Lucy becomes deeply attached to her people. She absolutely adores her foster family, especially her foster dad, and she’s discovered that cuddles, treats, and being loved are actually pretty wonderful things. Lucy is food motivated, eager to learn, and would thrive with a patient family willing to continue helping her grow. She doesn’t need perfection. She just needs someone willing to believe in her.
