Story
This is Nala. She is around 7.5 years old and is a Coonhound/Malinois mix. She was adopted out as a very young puppy and returned to us almost a year ago. She was getting very overwhelmed in her home as there were several young kids and other dogs. She started to feel the need to guard her food from the other dog in the home, so her owners thought it was best to find her a different home. We think she would do absolutely fine in a home with older kids and another dog if fed separately. She is a very sweet dog and for her breed she isn’t super active. She does enjoy playing ball and just going around outside and sniffing around like a typical hound. She walks very well on a leash and loves to go for walks. We were told she could climb 6 foot fences in her previous home, so she would need to be watched while outside or would do well with a privacy fence. We have not had any issues with her climbing fences here at the shelter. She does have a little bit of anxiety and would probably do well with someone who is home more. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. There is no fee to adopt Nala because someone has paid her adoption fee
