Story
Josie is an incredibly smart, happy lady, who needs a home with no other pets or children. She is incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle, and can’t get enough pool time or time with her pet pheasant (favorite toy!). Jo has attacked two of her sister dogs, despite training (she loves tricks!) and medication (clonidine and peroxetine). She has not shown aggression toward humans, but I do not trust her around kids anymore. We love her dearly, but she is no longer safe with our other pets. We have a cat, who Josie has an obsession with and wants to play with, but has never been actively aggressive with him. We adopted Jo from a shelter in Oklahoma in 2021 when she was 9 months old. She was born February 2021. We started having behavioral issues in 2024 after the passing of our oldest male dog (she was the youngest of 5 dogs at that time). We have acreage that she loves exploring, and she stays close to home.

Story
We brought her home from the shelter in October 2017, when she was about 4 months old. She was a great dog. Gentle and playful with the senior dog we had until 2021, and gentle with our cats. She used to be generally well behaved with our cats besides chasing them if they would run. Otherwise she just liked to chew them like a corn cob. Unfortunately, she has become randomly aggressive to the cats over the the past couple years. She will snap at them with no warning and has caused serious harm. I have had to keep her in a spare bedroom for the majority of the time. I also started her on Prozac in hopes her demeanor would be more chill. I love her and want her to be happy but I can't provide what she needs - a home without cats and a human that will cuddle her, play, and give her quality attention. She has done great with 3 stranger dogs I've brought over in the past, so im assuming a home with other dogs will be good. She probably needs a dog friend and I won't get another dog.

She has never had an accident in her foster home, doesn't chew on things she shouldn't, rarely barks, and doesn't shed much. She's the kind of easygoing companion so many families are hoping to find! She gets along beautifully with the older dog and cats in her foster home. Luna also enjoys going for walks, does well on a leash, and doesn't react to other dogs while out and about. At just 31 pounds, Luna is a wonderful medium-small size. She could be a great companion for someone living in an apartment, a couple looking for a devoted friend, or a family with children. She's calm enough to enjoy a quiet home but also loves getting outside for a nice walk. And if there's one thing Luna loves most, it's affection! She absolutely adores attention and being loved on. She's a gentle, sweet-natured girl who simply enjoys being close to her people. Her foster mom says Luna is even prettier in person than her pictures can capture, and those big brown eyes are pretty hard to resist! Luna has so much to offer: wonderful manners, a loving personality, and the ability to fit into so many different lifestyles.
