Story
We brought her home from the shelter in October 2017, when she was about 4 months old. She was a great dog. Gentle and playful with the senior dog we had until 2021, and gentle with our cats. She used to be generally well behaved with our cats besides chasing them if they would run. Otherwise she just liked to chew them like a corn cob. Unfortunately, she has become randomly aggressive to the cats over the the past couple years. She will snap at them with no warning and has caused serious harm. I have had to keep her in a spare bedroom for the majority of the time. I also started her on Prozac in hopes her demeanor would be more chill. I love her and want her to be happy but I can't provide what she needs - a home without cats and a human that will cuddle her, play, and give her quality attention. She has done great with 3 stranger dogs I've brought over in the past, so im assuming a home with other dogs will be good. She probably needs a dog friend and I won't get another dog.

Story
Bailey DOB: 10/19/2025 Sweet, athletic mixed breed pup (best guess) Bailey is a confident, energetic young pup with a love for movement, exploration, and being right in the middle of the action. With her striking, expressive eyes and athletic build, she’s always ready to see what’s next — whether that’s a new room to explore, a toy to chase, or an adventure outside. Born as a single puppy, Bailey has grown up knowing exactly what she wants and isn’t shy about expressing herself. She has a bold, spunky personality and a healthy dose of independence, paired with playful puppy enthusiasm. She’s curious, smart, and thrives when she has structure, activity, and clear expectations. Bailey is doing well in her foster home learning routines and boundaries and enjoys staying busy. She’s playful, social, and would do best with an adopter who appreciates an active, confident pup and is excited to continue training and channeling her energy in positive ways. ✨ Athletic, adventurous personality ✨ Confident and curious — likes to lead the way ✨ Playful, energetic puppy ✨ Doing well with routines and guidance Bailey is expected to grow into a medium-to-large adult dog, likely around 45–60 lbs. If you’re looking for a fun, active puppy with personality to spare and the kind of expressive eyes that seem to say “what’s next?”, Bailey might be your perfect match. All of our dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the KC metro — we do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
🌟 Meet Me — I’m Star! 🌟 Hi there! My name is Star — like a shooting star! That’s because the night I crawled up a kind family’s driveway in rural Missouri looking for help, they looked up and saw one streak across the sky. They said it was fate — and that’s how I got my name. ✨ I’m a 4–5-year-old, 43-pound bundle of sweetness, fun, and snuggles. I live with my foster family right now, along with some other dogs who have become my best friends. I love to play, share toys (okay, I really love whatever toy another dog has), lounge on my favorite spot — the sofa, and explore the yard. If you have another playful pup, that’s perfect! I’d thrive with a buddy who enjoys having fun as much as I do. I’m a very good girl! I don’t shed, I am crate trained, and learning my leash manners. I get super excited for walks — they’re my favorite part of the day! Once I settle in, I walk pretty nicely and love exploring the world with you. A fenced yard and daily walks would help me stay happy and balanced. I am also very chatty! I’ve got lots to say, being a beagle mix, so an apartment might not be the best place for me. I know how to sit (especially for treats!) and come when you call “Star, come on!” I’m smart, curious, and sometimes a bit stubborn — I like to think for myself. 😉 But I catch on quickly and really want to please. I’m great with other dogs and older kids, though I might accidentally bump into smaller ones because I don’t always realize how big I am. I’m never mean or aggressive — I just really like snacks, and sometimes I think your food should be our food. At night, I sleep in my cozy bed near my foster mom and foster sisters, and I feel safe knowing they are close by. I’ve been through some tough times before, but I’m learning every day that people can be kind and that I can trust them. My foster family says I have the biggest heart — that I’m affectionate, goofy, and loving despite everything I’ve been through. Star's adoption fee is $175. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on preventatives for heartworm/flea/tick. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will fill your home with warmth, laughter, and love, look up — your Star might just have found you. 💫

Story
👀 Look at this speckle-tacularly handsome boy! 👀 Spend your days (and nights) with an attractive young man who’ll charm you with loving companionship and keep you feeling vital and active. Ok, so he’s actually a dog, but we promise you won’t lack for company. Apollo is confident and athletic, and he is as friendly as they come. He is a 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Husky mix who weighs 40 svelte pounds. When he’s outside, Apollo wants to get moving. He’s easy to walk with you on the leash, and he’s all about the good smells, the neighborly folks and the peppy dog buddies. He could also make a terrific running partner, if you’d like to speed it up a little. Either way, he hopes that walking or exercise can happen daily. Once he comes inside, he’s mellow and attentive and ready to hang with his people or another dog(s) while they relax. He’ll probably even catch a snoooooze himself, and he prefers a 4-legged and 2-legged snuggling pal while he sleeps. At night, he slumbers in bed with his people. Apollo is a quick learner, and he already boasts a solid list of commands he knows, like sit, shake, down, and stay. He could be up for some higher-level training like agility work or other advanced commands, if you’d like to do that with him. Otherwise, bring out the toys, and he’ll have a grand time with squeaky toys and some bones. He enjoys a puzzle or a filled Kong as well. He is good with kids and gets along great with other dogs, so everyone is welcome. He’d love to have a dog sibling or other local canine playmate to romp with, but that’s not a requirement. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He can climb a chain-link fence, so he’ll need a privacy fence or a secure tether wherever he lives. Apollo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175 – we know you’ll find true love with this guy! Apply to adopt him today. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
