Story
Blue-eyed Bo is looking for his fur-ever home. No, that’s not a filter… that’s his real eye color! Bo is sweet, playful and spunky. He does great with all dogs, and loves to wrestle. He’s great with children, but we’re unsure how he does with cats. One thing we’re working on is not digging… Bo likes to kick up dirt, then chase it. Ha. I believe he’s a Catahoula mix, and the vet thinks around 3 years old. He just got neutered last week, and weighs about 46lbs. We also microchipped him. He’s current on all vaccines until 07/02/25, and was given NexGard PLUS on 8/5 for fleas, ticks and worms. He was de-wormed on 07/08/24. Thankfully, he is NOT heartworm positive. We are asking for a rehoming fee of $300 to cover the cost of his neuter and microchip. Why is Bo being re-homed? Sadly, he was abandoned at a vacant residence with no food or water, and lacking adequate shelter. The conditions were heartbreaking. Can you show him what a real loving home is?

Story
This dog is STUNNING! Laverne is smart as a whip, and such an intuitive and kind dog. She lived in a foster home with dogs and kids, and will make someone a once in a lifetime kind of companion. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested (6 months and above,) and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to choose from at the shelter as well. If the pet you fall in love with is not quite ready for adoption, we do offer a $50 hold deposit that will insure you have first "dibs on adoption. Once an animal is available for adoption, we are not able to hold them, as there are so many animals waiting to come into our program. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays. You are welcome to fill out our quick 10 question adoption survey to facilitate a quicker process. This will also start the meeting process for those animals in foster care: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MARQ/Dog

Blossom is a 3-4 year old catahoula/boxer mix. She can be shy in new environments and with new people but, once she warms up to her people, she is very loving and affectionate. Blossom does great in playgroups, playing with the rowdy as well as the more timid dogs. She is a favorite of those that know her. If you are interested in meeting Blossom, please call 816-632-2177. Story
Hi there, I’m Oakley! I’m a year and a half old. I’m a rare breed in Missouri, I’m a Catahoula Leopard dog. I love to hunt, run, walk and stay active. I have a hard time staying still so if you like to go hiking or you are always on the move, I will be your new best friend! Before I was rescued, I was living outside in a small kennel and never got to run around and sometimes didn’t get fed. Before I was rescued, I was skin and bones, I hated when people touched my food and I had no idea what sit meant. Now I know how to sit, down, place, stay and recall! I also don’t worry about people touching my food now because I know I will always get more or something better! I am just looking for a home where I can run and play and have a job! Right now I am currently unemployed and I sometimes get frustrated and chew up shoes or something. If you have a job for me, I’m in! I’m a sweet guy and I love pets and kisses. I’m excited to meet my new family and I can’t wait for you to meet me! ~ Oakley!
