Story
Keely is the absolute sweetest pup you could ask for! Loves to snuggle and is an overall goofy girl. She is just over a year old, born June 14th 2024 and has been spayed, and is up to date on distemper, rabies, leptospirosis, bordetella, flea and tick and deworming. She would fit best in an active home that has time to exercise her regularly! She does have some separation anxiety issues, but with some time and work she has gotten much better and with continued training I believe she will learn to be more independent. I think she would do best in an experienced home that has time to devote building her confidence!

He is an energetic, shy but affectionate (once he gets to know you) and smart that likes other dogs and teen kids. He is a great companion for an active family with a secure 6 ft fence, children over 12 years of age or active single person. Catahoula experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He likes walks, car rides, toys. and dog beds. He will require daily walks and some dog training. Will require 6 ft fence. No apartments or rentals. No cats. Helotes Humane Society is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. My family could no longer care for me, so now I’m back at the shelter waiting for my next chance at happiness. This girl is sweet, energetic, and bursting with personality. Just under 4 years old, this beautiful brindle Catahoula Leopard mix is the perfect balance of playful energy and soulful affection. Gigi’s got a zest for life that’s truly contagious — whether she’s chasing balls in the yard, trotting alongside you on a walk, or simply sharing her goofy charm with everyone she meets. Gigi does well with most dogs and enjoys engaging in spirited rough-and-tumble play with her fellow canine friends. (don’t let her smaller size fool you!) And when eating and drinking — Gigi prefers a solo dining experience.Heads up! Prolonged exposure to Gigi may cause uncontrollable laughter and spontaneous playtime. And because she does really well with children and most dogs, expect to take her everywhere. She will quickly become part of every family outing and backyard gathering.
