Spot is a gorgeous, strong, and energetic boy who’s ready for an active foster home! He loves his daily walks, chasing balls and toys, and proudly prancing around the yard with his treasures before eventually bringing them back to you. He has shown no guarding behavior and is eager to play. He appears to be housetrained, has not marked in the home, and heads right for the door when it’s time to go outside. Spot sleeps quietly in his crate at night and also does well crated when left home alone. Spot is very interested in other dogs on walks and may do well with a similarly sized or larger playful companion with slow introducstions. He’ll thrive with someone who can provide structure, consistency, and regular exercise to help him stay on track. Beneath his big personality is a fun, sweet, and lovable guy looking for a place to land.

Hi! My name is Ajax, and I am from Georgia! Ajax, lovingly referred to as Jaxy, is such a bundle of love and he has the most beautiful light brown eyes! He is so excited to meet and greet new people with kisses, both adults and kids. We have two kids (7 and 9) and a resident dog. He loves other dogs and is very playful! He would do best with a dog of his size or greater because he’s still a puppy at playtime. He also walks wonderfully on a leash (even better than my dog ha!). He seems to know some basics like “sit” and enjoyed getting a bath and a nail trim. He does well in his crate and will sleep all night in there without a peep. He goes potty outside like a champ and has had only one accident inside. He will really make a wonderful companion to a lucky family.

Story

When a dog comes in stray alligator rolling at the end of a leash we just can fathom what their previous life was like. This was just how we met Brynn. She was said to be found running stray down on Stanton Ave by Service Food back in Dec 2024, but we are not sure if we were told the truth. We quickly learned that Brynn was literally scared of everything. She was scared to walk on our slippery floors, scared of a leash being used on her, and scared of the doorways and the doors closing behind her. She was never aggressive and sought solace in a just a couple staff who she knew were there to care for her. Slowly after a couple weeks she started to eat regularly, she would walk on the leash outside to go potty, she would seek out attention from staff who were not the ones feeding her. Brynn was still pretty timid of new people for a couple of months but we are happy to report that now she frequently goes out with volunteers for walks, she has not missed a meal (she loves snacks), and she is ready to meet new people anytime someone asks to see her. Unfortunately she hasn`t found her family yet but we are hopeful someone will chose her soon. Brynn is a medium 45 pound mix of the sweetest kind. She is kennel trained, seems ok with cats, and has not had an reactivity towards other dogs but we would require a meet and greet. She does still have the tendency to get a bit spooked so she will need to be secured to the property and not allowed to free roam. Maryann has not had it easy. She was adopted as a puppy, but when her dad got a new girlfriend, he decided that he couldn't be bothered with his dogs and so after a year, Maryann ended up back at the rescue. Now, she is hopeful that someone will see her sweet nature and beautiful colors and make her their newest family member. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped, house trained and ready to be adopted. All she needs now is a good loving home full of happiness, playfulness and lots of love. The important part (and why he needs a foster): Kylo needs a home without children. While he has been a loving and loyal dog, it’s become clear that being around young kids makes him uncomfortable and on edge due to their unpredictable movements. His current family loves him deeply—but they’re making the incredibly hard, responsible decision to prioritize both their child’s safety and Kylo’s wellbeing.
